SureFire has engineered this unique, upgraded G2X model to provide law enforcement officers with a hard-working flashlight that can meet the rigorous demands of patrol work. Constructed from ultra-durable Nitrolon polymer, the casing contains a nearly indestructible LED, which regulates battery power for maximum beam output. This light features a piercing 400-lumen beam at its highest setting, which can be set to run for a moment or at a constant rate thanks to the dual-output switch located at the tailcap for convenience. The 15-lumen low beam has an impressive 45-hour runtime for long shifts when constant lighting is critical. This lightweight, functional flashlight has a long-reaching beam that also provides peripheral illumination, essential to officers on patrol who need an added tactical advantage.

I see that this flashlight tops out at 400 lumens whereas the Stream light Pro Tac HL is rated at 600 lumens. Both lights feature similar durability and dependability, both run on two CR123A batteries. Both lights are about the same price. It follows that I would run a brighter flashlight. Bear in mind I am out in the wide open spaces of the Big Sky Country and I am in need of as much light as I can comfortably carry in a coat, coveralls, or on my belt. I have no idea if there is such a thing as a small flashlight being too bright but maybe there is for some. Just my .02

Very well made and brighter than the sun my only grip is that for the price I think it should come with a carry case

For the size and the price this is a great flashlight. Very well made and heavy duty. I like the diameter and the weight and the dual outuput is awesome.
