The Thorogood 6" The Deuce WP SZ provides superior traction and stability while keeping you comfortable. The Z-Trac ASR Rubber outsole is made with EVA impact pads to absorb shock and cushion your feet, even on the most challenging terrains. These boots meet or exceed the ASTM F2913-11 SATRA Test Method TM144 Standard for slip resistance, allowing you to walk across wet surfaces with ease. Two zone mesh lining works to wick away moisture, and the ThoroDri waterproof membrane keeps moisture out of the boot. Double row stitching allows for increased durability, and the molded rubber heel stabilizer provides ultimate support to the ankles. A completely non-metallic design prevents these boots from activating security scanners at your jobsite or from being a pain at airports.

I spend a lot of time on my feet at my job, and am not getting any younger. With the onset worsening chronic leg / foot pain requiring time off, doctor visits and expensive doctor assigned pads, things were not going well. But hearing that postal workers often use this boot, I ventured to try them and discovered using these did not require the expensive pads, and the leg pain ceased to exist. I’m not saying this cured any malady it’s just likely this fit really well with my feet, and the source of my pain were boots not optimally matched with my feet. Ever since I have only used Thorogood and have since never had troubles with my legs or feet. Just my experience, i have essentially zero break-in time for the boots, they are like turn-key, just put them on and go!

First pair of Thorogood boots. Only been wearing them for about a week now. I'm still in the break in stage, cause there are places on my feet that are still getting rubbed and are sore. I got these boots because I wear a 13 extra wide, and this name brand is just but a few I could find in this size that I liked. Feet still sore after a week is the reason for 3 stars.

Just confused about a comment here saying that he had a problem with the boots tongue rubbing against his ankle. Maybe i'm stupid or something but i just can't see it.

I bought these boots when my last pair bit the dust (different brand) I had them shipped to my APO here in Afghanistan and am very pleased with them. I have only had them for about one week but they are comfy and keep my feet DRY. Very nice feature since I have been out in the snow/slush/mud all day.

These boots are good. I have found the fit to be what I expected. They are waterproof and the zipper seems durable. I will buy again.

Tried them on in house first and glad I did. Tongue rubs against ankle and no matter what I did, could not fix problem. Also check out return policy. Cost me $12.00 to shipping to return.

The boot was true to size around my foot. I did not like the top of the boot feeling tight.
