The Original SWAT Classic boot is ideal for military or law enforcement professionals who require secure, reliable footwear that keeps them safe in the most dangerous terrain. The non-marking rubber outsole is slip and oil resistant for maximum stability and traction, and the Aegis antimicrobial insole protects from bacteria and hazardous materials. The gusseted, foam-padded tongue and collar add extra comfort and keep dust and debris out. Besides exceeding the ATSM F489-96 test for slip resistance, these boots also exceed standards for electrical hazard protection, making them secure enough for any situation. For dangerous terrain, the L-Protection anti-penetration board protects feet from punctures with pre-treated ceramic and high-tenacity fibers. These boots include an airport-friendly nylon shank and a thermoplastic heel counter for comfort and lightweight support. There is also a PU collar for easy cleaning and a removable, custom fit PU insole. A YKK side zipper fitted with a hook and loop closure provides for quick on and off. This is the steel-toe model.

All I can ever say, Shoes and boots do not last long for me. I am really surprise about these CTs. I've never heard of this brand in my life and it sure did brought my attention. for years, since I was a kid and still am. almost 22 years of age and I have come to a conclusion that I would purchase these fantastic material again or maybe try a different brand for outstanding surprise. These buddies held well and I had them for 3 months now and still in good shape. I work with these in yard and maintenance work, tree work and a lot of out door heavy lifting and lots of running for exercises. I hang and do free sports in these. holds well. my only reason for a 4 star because I have not tested them to their max but, excellent for labor. however, funny though, I think they've ship these guys with one boot with a longer lace than the other. Because I am tying one lace 3 inches shorter than the other. However, doesn't stop me for enjoying this brand of boots. I love them just as much as I love my Wolverines.

I am only rating two stars and I will explain why

First of all, on this specific page, the black boot has the same exact outsole design that i have seen on a Law Enforcement boot that has gone by the name "Response Gear: Tactical Footwear ".

Hopefully Original SWAT is being smart with this outsole design and not making the same mistakes as RG has because with RG boots that use the same tread the boot's welt appears to be some form of high-density card board so once water soaks the boot, the welt will disintegrate, exposing the shank and ruining the boot's support system; the internal design of the outsole reveals a complete lack of a midsole, meaning the only shock absorption came from the polyurethane insert. I will give some credit that the outsole itself provides a nice heel cup to prevent ankle injury, but the forefoot has little support, and is not as solid as it looks, on the inside is some form of waffle grid that has air pockets that could lead to water being caught in the tread and possibly lead to fungal infections.

that is why I only rated two stars

I can only hope that Original SWAT is being smart and not making the same mistakes as RG.

I usually wear Harley boots,, but I thought I would try these, they are very light, compared to what I'm use to. They breath pretty good, and so far are holding together really well. I like the zipper feature, as I take my boots off allot, when going into customers houses. I don't want to clean their carpets, too, LOL.

I am very particular about my boots. They need to fit well, be comfortable, and they need to work. These boots were comfortable right out of the box. The toe box with the safety toe has plenty of room. The soles have a good grip on all surfaces. And the boots look great! Its a win all the way around.

I bought these for my husband who is on his feet all day. He always comes home complaining that his feet hurt because he can't find good boots to wear. He's been wearing these for a week now and he says they are the most comfortable boots he's ever owned. He loves them!

These boots were a Christmas present for my grandson. Just realized they are steel toed & not a composite toe like we thought they were. Will be returning them to exchange for regular toe, but otherwise very happy with the quality.

I love these boots and wear them daily. I get a new pair every year. The old ones I use for work boots. They provide the safety and support I need working on U.S. navy ships while being light and comfortable.

This pair of boots. Let me tell you this pair of boots will change your view on walking, running, door kicking and general foot like things. Comfy, check. Durable, check. Cool? Heck yeah, double check.

I had given the swat desert boots a perfect score due to experience with a previous pair that held up very well. However the boots I bought in December 2011 are falling apart. The heel pull tab ripped off in the first week, and I have to periodically glue the very thin torn toe leather back down. They are very comfortable boots but material quality has gone way down.

Wore a pair a tan's for 9 months until my uniform changed to require black. In process of ordering a black pair. Had zero issues and very little break in time. I work in Arizona and wore them during the hot AZ summer and didn't have a problem with hot feet. Very good ventilation. I still wear the tan ones as my personal boots now.
