If you’re not careful with the zipper it’ll break. My job pays for new boots every year. This is the pair I’ve gotten for the last 6 years. The first 2 pairs the zipper broke after about a year, that’s the only problem. They are really comfortable though so I learned to baby the zipper and make sure I don’t zip it under pressure. That works well and I haven’t broken a zipper in 4 years and probably never will again. These boots are good and comfortable. I love the ease of taking them off after a long day in the warehouse. My best endorsement would probably be to say that , I’d buy these even if I had to pay for them myself. There are good boots that are cheaper, but I like these.

I work Security Slash Maintenance we do a bit everything . There extremely comfortable .
The Leather toe will not take a solid beating if you kick something it will slice it not open but it place cut. Shred etc. Reason I give it 2 stars after 7 month owning them Today the teeth in zipper broke essence my boots are dead .. I think the walk and feel of the Boot is awesome I work 13 hour shifts walking 3 laps around campus each day 5 days a week equates to 32 floors one lap .19.7 miles daily tread was barely worn . If new could get them fix verse buy new pair I would Gladly get a new pair But zipper is vital two teeth pull out boot are no go. 3 week before We have Football hall Fame crowd with 75 k visitors . Sadly I Dis appointed aside from Zipper I would rave about these boots . I was look ing forward to see how long they last .Sad Part Just Polish them was zip them up when teeth broke . Must Polish them daily if heavy user like me .If you Purchase them . Not sure if just my bad luck with the Zipper .

I went from an 8 in steal toe tactical boot with side zipper to these... They are exactly what I was looking for. shorter on the leg, light weight, comfortable enough to wear all day. The only problem I had was rain getting in the boots through the zipper while riding...... and a little stiffness in the right side zipper..... that is why only 3.5 stars...
I read previous reviews and understand the zipper problem some have had, and hope I don't have the same.

this is my third pair of ridge Air - Tac ST -14
the second pair which I still have ,the sipper on the right shoe separated from the nylon side. is there a warranty on this defect? the first pair I wore out. I hope the third pair last and is as comfortable as the first two pair. Tom

The company that I had worked for with pay ever so much of the amount of the boot each year. Well I stumbled across these try them on and fell in love with him now I don't work there no more I can't really afford that pricey of a boot so I'm wearing out my others with what I have.

Great boots. I get a new pair every year. I polish my boots so the finish lasts most of the year with no cracking issues. Like anything else take care of them and they will work great. I use these in all weather conditions for warehouse and foundary type work.
I recommend a spare pair of laces, after several months they tend to break.

These boots are very comfortable and they have good grip, even on wet concrete. However the synthetic leather is of very poor quality. It's already starting to peel and crack. For me it's only an irritant though because i only work in them.

BTW Sorry for the bad grammar i'm writing this at 3am

I hate having to spring for packing and shipping because you cannot reuse shipping bags and UPS rapes you with shipping fees.
