I’ll tell you how this boot compares to others I own and why this is, in my opinion, the perfect boot.
I own seven pairs of Nike sfb’s. Compared to the T8 NFS the Nike’s feel cheaply made and far less comfortable. Nike’s are notorious for their heel padding causing blisters even after regular usage. Conversely, it is entirely possible to go on a 10mile ruck run in the T8 NFS and not get any blisters. I was truly amazed by this.
And while the Oakley Light Assault boots are truly ultra light, their minimalist feel leaves a lack of confidence is durability and an ability to handle the elements. The NFS is almost just as lightweight while providing significantly more stability and higher quality material.
Another note: I love the laces. I typically swap out my laces with 550 paracord mostly because the Nike and Oakley laces tend to snap and are tough to grip when your fingers are numb from the cold. The laces on these actually work really well with the boot and are secure. (We’ll see how they hold up over time, may have to switch to paracord due to wear but for now they’re great)
Anyways hope the review helps. I never write these but I was compelled this time because I was such a huge fan.
Great job, Garmont.

So, I was hesitant on which boot to order that is AR 670-1 compliant so I did tons of research. The NFS model was repeatedly mentioned as comfortable, durable and true to size.

It came in earlier than expected, which was cool.

Tried them on and for the first 10 seconds I thought they were tight.

Left them on, went to a store down the street for a bit and walked around in them for about 1 hour.
To my surprise, they were not tight at all but were simply snug to my feet.

The very next day I wore them to work all day, then ran home in them. Yes, ran in them for about 6 miles. NO HOT SPOTS. NO BLISTERS. SUPER COMFORTABLE!

If you're looking for boots and haven't ordered these, you are missing out.

It's an awesome boot. The traction on the boot is phenomenal, I mean top notch. When your foot is settled you feel locked in and gripped around the ankle as well the toe area. Your foot is a little off the ground, think basic issue Army boots but not as dramatic. I wear a size 9 in Oakley SI boots (both the old and new lighter assualt model) , Rocky S2V Goretex, Nike boots (both old and new models) Rocky CT4 boots, Danner Goretex boots...and I wear a size 9 in these. Now I like a snug boot, and people have mixed opinions about that but as long as you're wearing good socks and lacing appropriately for the situation you can wear these TTS.

Just got them, but some of the boys have had these for years and they love them. If you're looking for a good jump boot then these won't steer you wrong. If you're planning on doing weird stuff in foreign lands these will take care of you too. Definitely worth the buy.

These are without doubt- the LIGHTEST boots I have ever owned. So far, they are holding up very well. They fit a little tight, and I even ordered a half size bigger than usual, but they fit good after a couple of weeks. They are extra comfortable. The sole meets the ground perfect for my foot/step. VERY impressed so far. I thought at first a little pricey, but now- I am glad my wife talked me into getting these. Check with me in 6 months. Right now, all I can say is that they are a great pair of boots. This site got me the boots efficiently and at a good price, knowing what I know now.

Super lightweight with a durable sole (unlike the Bates Lites for the USMC). Bought 2 pair to break in for Selection and I am satisfied with my choice. Under load, the heels ran hot after a 16 miler (asphalt and cross country) due to being new. Sore for a couple of days but the calluses set in as the body does. Easily took :15 off per mile just by making the switch. The best balance of weight to support I’ve ever seen without compromising mission accomplishment. Strongly recommend for those thinking about going to Manland.

I love these boots, I bought them based on a few people recommendation after completing phase 1 of an Army school. My issues boots are a 7.5 extra wide, but my running shoes rage from a 9-10.5. I took a guess and orders a 9.5 wide and they are perfect!! I’ve worn them multiple times to “break them in” and there has been no need, they fit like a brand new pair of tennis shoes.

*my only complaint is the length of the laces. I have to wrap them around my ankle 3 times before I can tuck them in and not have laces floating around my boot. I will have to buy shorter laces so I can put them on faster (a critical task in officer candidate school)

At first the boot was great. After about 50 miles of training rucks the midsole began to break down, causing me to overpronate. It didn’t lead to injury, but it definitely could over time. The way the sole is designed, it puts a lot of demand on the medial side of the heel. The foam there is not dense enough to support it. I really like the boot, but they’re done after a couple months of hard use. I wish I could upload pics to give visual reference.

I recently moved to the desert and was looking for some new apparel to wear on my morning desert walks in the preserves and national forest near my new home. Saw this boot first in a magazine ad and magazine review. Did some research on line. Saw a number of video reviews from soldiers recommending boots for new inductees heading to boot camp. I have not had them long enough to comment on durability, I believe the soldiers I saw on YouTube. As far as comfort, no break in necessary. As far as breath-ability, no problem handling plus 3 digit temperatures. I measure my foot width and length (booth feet) and sent these measurement to the customer support people. They recommended the size and width. They hit the mark.

I've had these for almost two weeks and from then to now they are still a great boot. The quality of leather is top of the line and the weight is honestly almost unnoticeable which is why I bought them. Like I said I've only had these for about two weeks so I'm not to sure about the durability of these and how the tread will hold up after time. The only way I could see this boot getting any better is if they started sewing the sole instead of only using glue. Again great lightweight boot definitely worth the asking price!

I wanted a pair of boots that I could wear to the office but then go out on a ruck march or backpacking on my days off. These boots fit the bill perfectly. As comfortable as the nike sfb's maybe more but far more support and strenth in the boots.
The only down side was yes as other reviews mentioned go a half size bigger then your tennis shoe size. I also went with a wide because I'm border line between regular and wides and they fit great. The regulars were just a tad to skinny.
