The Streamlight TLR-1 LED Rail Mounted flashlight provides extreme brightness and remarkable durability. It attaches and detaches easily to almost any firearm without the inconvenience of using tools or the danger involved in putting your hands in front of the muzzle. With a 12,000-candela beam intensity and 300-lumen output, this light produces a concentrated beam with phenomenal peripheral illumination that stays constant thanks to a solid-state current regulation. The TLR-1 can be directly mounted to handguns with Glock-style rails and to all MIL-STD-1913 rails and also is compatible with existing light-bearing holsters. This mounted flashlight runs on 2 3-volt CR123 lithium batteries.

it is difficult to rate a product without developing a little history with it. But the light appears to be of a high quality construction. It came with somewhat sketchy instructions but the function is fairly intuitive. Mounted on my Rem. 870 it was easy to activate with my left thumb either in the" momentary on" or "full on" mode. The light it projects is impressive. It throws a large, clear, and very bright light in a wide and consistent pattern. It can be argued that use of any light pinpoints your position and gives an assailant an advantage but if this thing is shining in your face you likely won't be able to focus on the source. And all argument aside, if you need to light up your field of attention this light does the job admirably. It does add some bulk to the shotgun but any light is going to do that. If you don't need the light for a particular application all that is required to remove it is a coin. It is small, it is light and it is versatile. And though $100 + isn't cheap it is a good value by my reckoning.

I purchased the TLR-1 based on numerous InterWeb reviews and seeing it in action on many of the LEO'S featured on "Live PD". I went with the simpler version as it suited my needs and the battery life is greater on the TLR-1. So far, I haven't had any issues with the battery door coming off, which is really the only issue I've heard about. It is very thin. Fitment on my Sig Mk.25 P226 Picatinny rail is very solid. One thing I might point out. The instructions call for a small Hexhead nut in a cutout, but don't show how the nut is installed. Even reading the instructions several times it wasn't clear. The first time I installed the Tac light I didn't insert the Hexhead nut. But, I eventually realized it was missing. All in all, I'm satisfied.

I bought this light about a year ago to use on my duty weapon. I have been completely pleased with this item since first installing it on a H&K P2000. Battery life has been great. Even with every other officer wanting to "see how bright it is" I am still using the original batteries. The light looks tightly in place and has not loosened up despite having shot 5 or 6 qual rounds. Easy on and off, it is a great fit on all of my pistols. The inclusion of multiple keys is a nice add-on that makes fitting the light a breeze. The light is blinding, and the strobe extremely disorienting. A great tool that is worth every penny. The aluminum housing seems roubust and looks good as new despite ten months of daily carry. The only negative point are the instructions. The strobe feature was a little difficult to activate after reading the instructions and it took a trip to youtube to figure it out. Since then, no complaints. Easy to use, blindingly bright and rugged, this light is a must have for self-defense and duty carry.

I purchased this light for a Para Nite-Tac and it fits perfect - used the Glock adapter. I was amazed at the quality of the light beam and of the product over all. It goes on and off really quickly and securely. TacticalGear.com had the best price by far and I caught it with free shipping - and it was fast!

I use this on my Glock 19 Gen 4. The light installs/removes in seconds. The "rail key"
for my Glock came pre-installed. Nice.
The light is VERY bright, and the peripheral
portion aids in the area you are searching.
Money well spent. Tactical Gear has some of the best prices around. Will shop again.

I think that this is a great light but i don't like where the adapter for the slots on the mounting rail mount. I mounted this on a M&P 9C and it's not quite back far enough to fit into the rail slot.
Also why are gun mounted flashlight so much more expensive than a standard tactical flashlights??

Easy to install, lights up all the dark corners in the basement. I like the instant on/off or the constant on options. Have yet to use the light in a practical application, but fully expect the product live up to expectations.

I purchased this for a Glock 19 (Gen 4). It was everything I was looking for. I like the fact that this light has a instant switch that only activated the light when your finger presses it, as well as the constant on switch. It mounts great to any picatinny rail. This is also one of only a few lights that you can literally crank it down to the rail, almost guaranteeing you that it will not snap off. Highly recommended at this great price.

Purchased a TLR-1 on MilitaryGear.com on Tuesday night; had it on the Glock Friday night!
The super fast shipping and the TLR-1 is unbelievable! I had thought of saving money with one of those $39.95 combo flashlight/laser plastic models on Ebay, but the research & reviews convinced me to get a Streamlight TLR-1. So glad I did. Well worth the price! Easy installation, and Very well-made product!
