The Streamlight Siege boasts mass appeal. Hunters, hikers, outdoor enthusiasts and tactical professionals all rely on this versatile tool. It doesn't matter where your adventure takes you; this LED lantern floats, hangs and sits just about anywhere. The Siege runs on alkaline batteries and provides 360 degrees of illumination with a 295-hour runtime on the low setting. Made of polycarbonate thermoplastic, the Siege is durable and lightweight. A rubber base stabilizes the lantern on irregular or slick surfaces, while the ergonomic handle makes it easy to carry it with you. You also can choose from several settings. In the case of emergency, it has a solid red light function with a Morse Code S.O.S. signal that lasts up to 18 days. Switch from steady mode to flashing S.O.S. mode easily with the recessed power button that prevents accidental activation.

I bought 7 Siege lanterns with the 3-D size battery capacity. Two for myself, one for my truck and one for inside my home. The other 5 were Christmas gifts, 1 each for friends and family. Everyone I gave these to loved them! Even the females I gave them to. They are excellent for emergencies, hunting, fishing, camping, working in a dark cabinet, etc and also great for barbecuing when you don’t have good lighting. This is a very high quality product as you would expect from Streamlight. At first when I got them I thought the hanging handle was plastic but after further inspection I realized it is metal with a durable rubber coating on it. For an excellent demonstration of features you can YouTube it to see all of the outstanding features! I love the heavy duty rubberized armor parts, all of which are the black parts you see. This is a very versatile, compact light and is very bright with 4 LED bulbs. Although impressively bright with the white plastic light diffuser on, it really makes a difference in brightness when you take it off. It will fit very comfortably in a backpack. It is a little heavy but not bad, weighing in at 31.2 oz. with the 3 D size batteries installed; however, the extra weight will be well worth the extra burn time. It is almost identical in diameter and height as a standard coffee grinder. I love the feature of the on/off switch changing colors depending on how much battery life is left! A big plus if one doesn’t have a volt meter to check battery levels. Service was excellent with TacticalGear.com. I got my order in an extremely timely manner; especially being the Christmas shopping season. They had the best price over any other company for this product and shipping was free for this particular order. Make sure when you order, you know which you are ordering; the AA version or the 3-D size battery version! This product is well worth the money; especially in an emergency situation! I will definitely be ordering more products from TacticalGear.com!

I have been researching lantern for two purposes. 1. A camping hiking lantern that is powerful but has many tactical uses and power settings and water resistant or proof and portable. 2. A lantern for emergencies, bug out bag, survival etc.
Well this lantern fits everything I want and more. Easy to use, rugged, water proof, powerful 300 lumen light and lower settings and a red light as well which can strobe for emergencies, etc. I love how it has two hooks, carabiners on top and the bottom and a good handle. Someone was thinking like me when they created this lantern. I am so happy with this lantern, I am going to do a video of it, with it's use and some testing and post it on my YouTube channel. Look for this video soon, find me on youtube as Ghostginthree. One reason I really bought from tactical gear was when sent me an email saying free S&H. I was just researching other sites for lower prices and ebay as well, with free S&H they beat everyones price. So I jumped on it. My being on a tactical unit in law enforcement and now retired, I still train and teach survival and tactics. This lantern fits me and my lifestyle and training. Love it. Hope this helps many of you, it's worth it. Take care.

I am impressed with this little lantern. It feels like it is built sturdy, especially for being all plastic.

It isn't the size of the Coleman lantern it is obviously patterned after not as bright. Inside it will nicely light up a room with it's 330 lumens. Outside it doesn't have the throw of a Coleman but I wasn't expecting it to either.

We had a power outage one night for about 5 hours. My wife sat and did knitting with this light. I also used it to get the kerosene heaters out of storage and up and running.

We both really liked it and I bought her one for at work. She has no windows in her office and this will light up the room nicely. Plus it is portable to take to the bathroom or anywhere else she needs to go in a building that is pitch black.

We have not tested to see if the batteries last as long as the manufacture says. So far it has met all our expectations and I believe that Streamlight is accurate with those as well.

I highly recommend this lantern.

I bought one of these last year for the home when lights go out. Got plenty of flashlights, but this is for longer term light without using candles or other fule driven lanterns. After receiving the lantern, I liked it so much, I ordered 3 more-one for my daughter and one for my sisters-in-law. The other is an additional one for me.
Pros: Compact, versatile to hang or sit, rubberized protection, multiple levels of light with long run on low, easy to operate, solid construction, reliable company.
Cons: Uses regular D cell batteries. Only wish it used rechargeable, which the company suggested against. They do have one with rechargeable, but it's quite pricy.

Bottom Line: Great little light source for reasonable price.

Outstanding product I have Multiple items made by Stream light C4 Flashlight and other products made by this company. I've served I the military for over 20 years and also now I'm a federal Police Officer. When you life is on the line you need a product you can depend on to work the 1st time without having a doubt abouit its reliability trust steam light products. I have not used Customer service yet for any issues with my products but hopingly steam light will satisfy any issues their customers may have with there products. It was a pleasure to have received a appreciation coupon to have applied to this product.

This little light is now my "go to" light. We have several power failures here every year and this lantern works great. We had previously purchased several of the battery operated Coleman lanterns, both fluorescent and LED models. None of them compare with this light in either the amount of light, the ruggedness of the item or the number of batteries it takes to power it.

The high-medium-low light, red light and the number of ways you can set it, hang it, carry it and use it makes it a much more versatile and efficient light. I have yet to find anything better than the Streamlight Seige Lantern.

This lantern was everything it claimed to be and more!

I found this item to live up to all my expatiations.

It has hooks and clips in all the right places when you need them, but never get in the way when you don't.

This is the perfect "ruff n tuff" lantern with everything rubberized.

The only thing that I would try to improve is the overall weight with the batteries in it, then it would be the perfect backpack companion as well. That is the ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

GREAT JOB STREAMLIGHT!!

Very solid light all around. definitely going to pick up a couple more. The clips are solid, feels like good sturdy material all around and I very much like the versatility this thing has. The red light is very nice as well, and the red SOS bit is a nice touch but not all that necessary. All in all, very pleased with this thing. If you're looking for some longevity, and a little durability, and something that can be bright, this thing is what you're looking for.

We've had several power outages lasting overnight this winter and use the 2 Streamlight Siege lanterns for emergency lighting to augment the kerosene lanterns where they're not safe/practical...Light, durable and easy to use...Last a long time on the D cells...I used Streamlight products in my work as a firefighter so I trust the quality and dependability...I'm getting another to carry in my "Go" bag in the truck...Great value compared to the "competition...

I've owned a number of camping/emergency lights but this one beats any that I have owned so far. It is compact, only uses 3-D cells and puts out more light than any other light I have owned in the past 10 years.
It easily lights up a room and the light is a soft color and distributed evenly, reading with this light is very easy. In fact you could even use it to work on a car if you needed a light to make a repair.
