The Banshee Rifle Plate Carrier is made of 500 denier Cordura nylon that's reinforced with bar-tacks in key stress areas. It also features a removable cummerbund for attaching pouches or side plates for additional protection. If the cummerbund isn't necessary, a secondary securing system with nylon straps and quick release buckles lets you easily remove it. For gear storage, PALs webbing covers the back, front and shoulders for accessory attachment, while a hook and loop pocket on the front holds smaller items. For additional utility, this carrier has guides for wires, antennas or hydration hoses. With lightweight shoulder pads and a reinforced drag handle, this plate carrier keeps you protected and comfortable throughout your mission.

I did a lot of research before buying a plate carrier. the shellback banshee was highly recommended but when I got it is realized now small it really was. I am 5 ft 9 in 215 lbs and I felt like I was wearing baby cloths. That being said build quality and materials seemed great. I will also say for 189.99 there's definitely better plate carriers out there for a little more. After I returned it is got a London Bridge trading 6094s and couldn't be happier.

I first purchased the Shellback Banshee 2.O plate carrier with hesitation due to a few other high end carriers I have owned and used or was in the market for.

I needed it to fit like a glove and some plate carriers and do not have a true universal fit. I am 5'7 and a 165lbs.
I also needed a slick and slim profile but not so slim I lose precious utility space and even comfort. Comfort is huge and It's very comfortable.
I needed it to be tough as heck to withstand drags against dirt, possible rock abrasions, etc...
I am able to get all this in the Banshee 2.0.
It can adjust to a very slim person, my wife is 110lbs and slim in which this just fits perfectly tightened down all the way. She looked super hot in it. ;-)
The bonus and over the top features are such:
1.Great ventilation and padding makes it very comfortable.
2.Built in mag pouches for both pistol and rifle mags.
3.Built in pockets at top both front and back.
4.Extra retention under the cumberbun.
5. Ability to take Sappi,s or steel plates and fit snug.
6. Slim profile yet built with integrity and for durability.

I did notice that the laser cut webbing on the shoulder straps are very tacky and really helped give me a great purchase when shouldering my rifle. Just another bonus to add...

If these points of necessity are shared then you will not be dissatisfied.

I got this used about a year ago, but this thing has held up really well. It's pretty salty at this point but it's a really good PC. However, I'm 6'3'' 185Ib and it only gets about halfway down my belly. On that same not, M4 mag pouches extend past the bottom, not to mention AK pouches. Still, it's extremely nice, and if I was a little shorter it'd be perfect.

The last note I'll make is that its extremely light. It depends on your personal preference, but it does feel weird that it's so light. I use it for airsoft, so I don't have actual plates in it, so that makes a big difference I know.

To wrap this up, this is a very nice PC with amazing quality material (I haven't ever had to replace or fix any part of it in almost two years of consistent use). If you're tall though, you might need a bit longer PC... regardless, this is a great product, and I'd definitely recommend.

The carrier appears to be made very well. That being said it fits small. I am 6’2” 220 and found it to not cover very much.

This vest is one of my favorites. I've used it fairly gingerly, mostly for light field exercises and ranges. I've had everything from ESAPI to custom 1/4" steel plates in mine, and they all carry well. It has plenty of MOLLE to weave what you need on there, and it looks sharp when worn in uniform. The shoulder straps tend to come loose as you wear and pick up the vest, but it is a snap to cinch it back to your liking. As a fairly heavyset fella, I don't find much discomfort wearing it for long periods, and it can adjust to fit my beer gut. I recommend to all my friends looking for a start into protective armor.

I didn't purchase from here directly, I got this with a set of AR500 plates (long wait but worth it). The problems I have with this carrier is the shoulder straps will not hold adjustment for more then a hour of wearing it and the cummerbund is setup for soft armor which I don't have but I have side plates so they start to sag when worn for a short time or with any movement, I have tried them on the outside and inside with the later being the best result. I'm going to try a few more things before I give up and try a different carrier.

It's very well made...here's my issues, it does not hold the 6×8 ceramic side plates and I found it very difficult to remove with comberbun in. I'm now using it as a $200 back-up to my $140 primary that holds all my plates and can easily remove.

This product is basically shown as one size fits most, but that really only applies if you are average or below average size, and not an officer that already wears body armor under the uniform.

I love how well made this is and also how it fits me but I cannot get the shoulder straps to stay to the proper adjustment, same with the cummerbund. Also I wish there was a strap to secure the plate in the plate pocket since my medium ESAPI plates keep shifting around which is not a good thing when your depending on the plate to stay put and save your life.
