This is my second ALS holster as I wanted one in black, and for the price Safariland offers a ton of value with outstanding quality and modularity. The holster is sturdy and reliable, retention is solid, and you can swap the attachment points for use on a war belt or a pancake for better OWB concealment. I got this for OWB carry concealed under a button up, and to this end I highly recommend getting the pancake attachment as it brings things in to a lower profile. The belt clip on this one is snug and fits well on my 1.5” cobra type gun belt and 2” rigger type belt. Once you lock the clip in place it likes to stay put and wears well. This particular model is a perfect out of the box open carry holster in my opinion. Don’t open carry without retention, people. Weapons security is extremely important. The ALS holsters are definitely good kit you can depend on. I can’t see myself using anything else for the job that it does, it literally has everything I want and nothing I don’t. You can even upgrade your level of retention, these are THAT modular, all while looking good. Highly recommend.

I tried this holster out for the first time last week and was very pleased with its locking mechanism and the easy release. I ordered the holster in a tan color and looks great. Very comfortable holster as well.

I like the way it feels on hip. My weapon goes in easily. I like that the belt clip can opened and closed with one hand. Great for off duty!

Fits my gun perfectly. Easy to draw and re-holster. Very comfortable to wear, and is quick to put on and remove. The belt clip locks closed, so the holster isn't going anywhere. Reasonably priced. Perfect in all respects.
