Ready for a bag that’s built to last? Allow us to introduce the Mission Made Sling Bag. Expertly designed, it’s versatile enough to be your new essentials-only EDC, an overnight pack or even an undercover diaper bag. An adjustable sling strap across the chest provides adaptable mobility, while a smaller strap buckles around the waist to distribute weight evenly and comfortably. Three exterior zippered compartments provide versatile storage options, and internal pockets and MOLLE webbing keep pistols and ammo safe and secure. A concealed carry pocket on the outside secures with a snap and provides quick and easy access to a firearm, especially if you’re wearing the bag across your chest. Multiple D-rings and MOLLE on the strap, sides, and across the front means no compromising on gear storage. Extra tough zippers promise to operate smoothly for every adventure to come.

TLDR; If you’re looking at this type of bag, but the Mission Made version unless you want to spend an extra $20 for a secret Velcro pocket.

I previously purchased the Tru-Spec version of this bag. I was impressed with the quality and features. I purchased this bag during a sale for about half the price of the Tru-Spec sling bag. This bag is missing at least one pocket (the “secret” Velcro closure pocket between the front and main compartment) and the material seems like a lower quality and finish. I don’t think it will be as durable as the Tru-Spec version, but I could be wrong.

On the plus side, it was half the price. The pattern is generally the same as higher priced versions. The “missing” pocket has potential utility, but certainly isn’t a must have. The material appears to be sufficient for the design and I didn’t see any obvious defects in manufacturing, common with a lot of lower priced items from other manufacturers.

Ultimately, I’m confident the bag will hold the things I need it to hold. It’s a tactical-ish man purse to carry some basic survival gear, first aid kit, and convenience items. If it doesn’t hold up, I’ll update the review.

To answer some common and potential questions:

Is it big enough to carry a pistol?
Yes, unless you’re trying to carry a Desert Eagle or an AR “pistol.” Just...don’t.

Does it take Glock magazines?
Yes, it will take Glock magazines or any other kind of normal magazines short of 40+ round banana or drum magazines. Again, just...don’t.

Well if this thing is so great, why not give it five stars?
Fair question. I honestly considered it. It’s a good clone of a successful type of sling bag that’s priced extremely well. It is well made, but not Maxpedition well made. To be fair, neither is the Tru-Spec or any other version of this bag. While not all of their designs are the best, Maxpedition has some of the best manufacturing and quality control I’ve ever seen. It shows in the price. While it’s a good clone of a type of bag, that bag type has some limitations.

Could it be better?
Sure. This type of bag is trying to find the Goldilocks zone of size. Not so small as to look like a Japanese school girl’s purse, but no so big as to be just a full size pack with a single oversized strap. For my money I’d prefer something slightly larger with a fully padded main compartment or section padded to carry a normal sized iPad. Maybe the top outside pocket padded and big enough for sunglasses. More padding on the strap would be good. It’s fine for walking to from the car, but probably not for a longer hike or bike ride. Small finishes like a padded cover for the buckles and connectors. Other people might feel differently. Just the things I’d like to see. I’d also be willing to pay more than $20 for it.

I'm an IT specialist and have been looking for the perfect utilitarian EDC bag to carry with me anytime I expected to be away from home for more than an hour. So far, all of my essentials fit, but I may be under-utilizing many of it's features. First thing's first, the reason I bought a MOLLE compatible bag was for the prospect of hanging tools on the exterior using grimlocks so that I had immediate access to them. Secondly, a messenger bag was just a void of space that I compulsively filled with deadweight just because it had space. So far, with this bag, I've been keeping a closer eye of what I carry. This has forced me to notice that I'm not using every little pocket or band in the bag, either because it's specifically for weapon accessories or I just have no idea what to put in it. So far, I'm mostly impressed with the quality of this bag and hoping I will find a purpose for a few of those little compartments.

Just received the bag about an hour ago and spent the last hour loading it up with my regular daily essentials (keys, wallet, mint spray, vape juice/mod) along with other things that may come in handy throughout the day (battery pack, phone charging wire/wall plug, a pen, flashlight, pocket knife, 2 spare glock mags, hand sanitizer, AirPods, inhaler, lighter, mini multi-tool).
All of those things fit very well into the front pockets while I have the STILL have the main pocket/compartments reserved for my baby daughters clothes, diapers, wipes, etc.
The bag seems as though it is of decent enough quality. Very impressed with it, it shows better quality than all of that other over-priced stuff.
Normally not the type to carry extra things but since I became a father, I figured I’d need a daddy bag and this sling definitely works perfectly for that.
Only minor things I wish were different, more padding on the shoulder strap for more comfort, and to be able to adjust the strap to keep the bag higher over my shoulder, I bundled up the strap with some ranger bands to keep the length of the extra nylon tucked away neatly.
Also in the concealed carry compartment, I wish there was Velcro lining so I can stick a holster in there securely but a little trip to the crafts store for supplies should solve that easily.

Hadn’t been able to use the bag out in public just yet, but just from loading it up with my EDC essentials, seems as though it’ll hold up well over time but we’ll just have to wait and see. So far so good, really glad I got the bag!

This bag is good for a small get home bug out bag you can throw in the trunk/back of your vehicle should you have to travel on foot to your destination! The price tag on this bag isn’t bad either! On the other hand the sling strap is rather uncomfortable even when loaded lightly! If the strap was more comfortable I would give this bag more stars! Overall I wouldn’t recommend this product unless you are on a seriously tight budget and want a cheap one!

The bag is constructed very well and has so many storage pockets that I found myself using it more than my day pack. It came with an extra strap to ensure the pack is secure to your body. The price was almost a third less than I paid for another brand and it exceeded my past sling purchase value because it included a small hydration pocket, and a hook and loop area for displaying moral patches. Sometimes aren’t too good to be true.

I love this bag! Lots of pockets, the zippers are sturdy and are easily opened for rapid deployment. I not only use it for a bail-out bag (easily fits my M&P 40C) but it also fits my full size SLR camera, an extra lens, battery charger and other small accessories. I highly recommend training with it for quickly accessing whatever you’re carrying. I highly recommend the Mission Made sling bag.

Bought it because it was too cheap to pass up, figured I’d just give it away if I didn’t like it...however it appears to be VERY well made! The materials seem thick and super tough, the zippers are stout, the strap is thick and comfortable, and there are almost too many pockets and clips and things for such a small pack. You can get a ton of stuff in here and still have room in the back snap pocket for a full size EDC and extra mags.
This thing is worth more than what you’re paying, and that’s a rare thing these days!

Holds everything I need it to, and more! Its durable, convenient and not annoyingly bulky. I needed a small organized bag for when I go out/travel. It is perfect! Much better than my old sling bag I used to use. The clip to adjust the strap is excellent too!

These were purchased to replace earlier bags I had purchased several months earlier which had inferior zippers & pulls. I had gifted a young Eagle Scout one for his accomplishment of attaining the Eagle Scout status, the other one I used myself. Learned later that his pulls had broken as well as the pulls on the one I was using. I should have put them in service earlier because I was told these was no longer warranted. I'm hoping for better quality with this recent purchase. Thanks
