The Mission Made Hellfox Gloves mix hard with soft, providing protection and dexterity simultaneously. Ideal for law enforcement and first responders, they’re designed to keep hands safe without sacrificing control of weapons and tools. Hard, molded knuckles and ribbed fabric offer a high level of durability, while thoughtfully placed neoprene panels allow for natural movement. The palms of the gloves are made from a grippy debossed polyurethane with an extra panel for reinforcement. Tech-friendly fingertips allow you to text, type and use electronic devices without removing the gloves. Completing the glove is the option to customize your fit — the wrist strap adjusts and secures with hook and loop.

They make me want to glove up more often. They seem to have great articulation & pick up capabilities though I haven't yet tested them in the real world, so I really don't know if I'll want to strip them off because I can't pick up things well, nor do I know how well the material on the fingertips will hold up. Glove size is accurate. Great knuckle protection with that hardened plate that doesn't seem to create comfort issues.

Bought these on black Friday sale. Definitely good as entry level gloves if you're trying new things. These will become a backup pair of gloves after I get some oakleys or something better.

Pros:
Decent protection for your hands against bumps, scrapes, and minor impacts.

The vents on the fingers allow your hands to breathe well, so you won't get all sweaty in 5 minutes like you do with some leather gloves.

The material on the fingers allow you to use your phone...kind of.

The hold on your hand well, little to no movement. If your pair fits you well, then you will be comfortable.

Cons:
NOT good for cold weather, my steering wheel freezes my fingers right through these gloves and it's only like 40 degrees out, if you need cold weather "duty" style gloves, these are not it. Additionally, you feel the cold walking around as well, though not as bad as you would barehanded. I believe the same vents that keep your hands sweat free are to blame for the poor temperature insulation.

When you try to use your phone with these on, it is VERY clunky and difficult. The portion of the glove that allows you to use your phone is only on the inside pad of your fingers. So only the most broad piece of your finger can be used ok your screen, which leads to difficulty with something as simple an unlocking your phone. You want to tap an app icon? You can do that. You want to type anything? Take your glove off.

This is more of a side note:
I ordered a pair in extra large (the largest size) and the dimensions are wierd for me. I recognize this might be a me problem and not a glove problem, but I want people to be aware this can be an issue. So my index, middle, and ring finger are basically pushed into the tips of the gloves, not quite so bad as to be uncomfortable, rather the glove is moderately tight. I actually like that as it allows for some extra tactile sensation and increases usability in my opinion. However, even with that being tight, I have an extra half inch of glove on my pinky. Making my pinky essentially useless as far as feeling anything. Additionally, even having ordered the largest size, these are too small for my palms. If I wear them longer than 15-20 minutes, when i take them off i have some nice marks on my hand where the gloves have been digging into my skin, and longer than 30-40 minutes causes discomfort bordering on pain, especially in the webbing between thumb and forefinger, as well as the palm under the thumb. Now I acknowledge I have large hands (my pinky half hangs off my Beretta M92 with stock mags), but I didn't think they were so large that I was bursting out of XL gloves lol.

All in all it's a solid product, and a good value for the price, but there's a reason these don't cost much.

I found the size chart highly inaccurate. They should show a picture I guess. I had to return the Large size for the X-Large. The X-Large are still a little small and don't come down as far on the wrists as I would have liked. The Knuckles on the left hand fit fine. On the right hand the knuckles and glove may need to get worked in a little to position right and fit comfortably across the knuckles. The gloves are made OK but the sizing (for me) was disappointing. I'll wear them a little at a time and hope they stretch in and form fit over time, especially the right hand knuckles. Yes, they are worth the $25.

I like these gloves. They are very good quality and fit pretty well for the most part. I like the reinforced knuckle area. They feel comfortable to me and have a very soft lining of foam underneath. However, two things I don't like about these gloves...1.) I feel the fit could be slightly tighter in the fingers, like my Mechanix gloves. 2.) When loosening or tightening the wrist straps, the finger parts of the opposite glove get caught on the velcro which pulls and loosens the fibers on the fingers. Over time, I feel this could thin out certain parts of the glove and force them to wear prematurely. Other than that, I like em and would probably buy them again.

The gloves fit just as well as the two to three times more expensive Oakley gloves. The reinforced knuckle is nice, seems okay- feels very fiberglass though. Mine came with about a 1/4 inch outside border that made the tips of the floves look like a terrain feature (Ridgeline with a 1/4 plain) I was able to bend it back on the sides and it fits and looks much better but thr morr expensive versions (WileyX and Oakley) dont have this issue.
The palm material isn't as nice a quality and the openings on the first finger joint aren't completely open like the Oakleys.
That being said- they cover your hands, have a reinforced knuckle, and seem as solid as the competition - with the exception as noted above with the knuckle. I consistently have thumb fit issues in tactical gloves and with the price of these I didn't feel bad cutting the thumb and index finger so I could retain my finger dexterity. Worth a look, especially if you're trigger shy about the price of the competition.

First off, I love these gloves and the different colors. I bought the coyote brown pair. They fit well and good quality and can't wait to use them. So far I am breaking them in, wearing them around my home. I love the knuckles and by the way, they do not line up for a front punch, they are more for a back knuckle punch right behind the knuckles so you guys know. The rubber pads line up on your knuckles, say for a front punch type. I plan on buying more in different colors. Great price and free shipping, can't beat that. Waiting for a similar sale and will buy more. My buddies have seen mine and now want to buy some to. Great product.

Purchased these gloves to replace a pair of Mechanix tactical gloves that I lost. The hellfox seem to have equal build quality as the Mechanix. The Kevlar knuckle is nicely done. My pair was ripping at the seem on one finger when they arrived but my wife stitched it back up and they're doing fine now. Durability wise these are very good so far. I've run a tactical shotgun course with them and other than some light tearing in the palms and thumbs from loading the gun they are holding up well. And to be fair the more expensive Mechanix did this as well. When grabbing a burning hot gun barrel they protect the hand completely. Grip with these is excellent compared to other gloves. Also have run a pistol course with them and they hold up to malfunction drills and slide bite just fine. If the keep performing as well as they have I will buy a backup pair for sure. Knocking off half a star for the defect my pair had but ymmv. Overall a solid tactical glove and probably better than the real Oakley pilot they borrow design elements from. Also tactical gears shipping was quick. Thumbs up.

Maybe I have weird proportions in the hands but despite the glove fitting like, well, a glove, the knuckle shield is on the back of my hand. When I make a fist, the front edge of the shield is very noticeable on the top of the back of my knuckles. While designed to protect the hand and knuckles I know, I think most folks are thinking about having to strike at something with a closed fist as a primary or at least secondary reason for purchasing these gloves and I’m quite sure doing so would result in injury. Love the wrist cuff and solid build and the price, but I wont be buying another pair...

I ordered 4 pairs for review for my team. 2 medium, 1 large and XL for me. The gloves all fit good with the usual differences in the length of individuals fingers (sew it if it is too long). The wrap around wrist strap adds great support. The palm material gives just enough grip that smooth AR15 grips are not slipping out of your hand while looking tacticool or just plain too lazy to hold your gun up. The "knuckle gaurd" is in the right position to protect your boney parts from impacts, unless your punching walls out of frustration of piss poor performance from your team in which they are definitely in the wrong location. And no, they will not break glass. Other than that we have not had them long enough to see how they will hold up.

I have found a multi-purpose pair of gloves that fit well and are well made. A friend gave me a pair that I have been wearing for some time. I wear them when I work on home projects and when I mountain bike in the woods. I wish they were better at touch screen sensitivity but I am not going to fault them for that. I have been so impressed after the gift that I went and bought two more pair to have in reserve. the knuckle protection has been used once will doing some demo in my garage. I appreciate the strap to secure at the wrist so that they stay where they should. If they get dirty, I just toss them in the wash, let them air dry and they are ready to go again. I hope to golly, trying to be respectful I am not Eddie Haskel for those old enough, that I can always find these gloves.
