Timberland designed the Chocorua Trail as a rugged trail boot for long hikes and climbs. The waterproof, abrasion-resistant, full-grain leather upper provides maximum support and breathability. It features a durable rubber outsole for great traction on rocky, uneven terrain and a cushioned midsole for comfort on longer trails. The TIMBERDRY membrane keeps your feet dry in wet conditions and an inner textile lining wicks away moisture to create a more comfortable environment inside the boot. The padded tongue and collar add extra comfort along with a removable, contoured insole. These durable boots are not just great for hiking, but can be worn for any activity in any conditions.

I Just needed my first pair of new winter slush and snow boot in 25 years. My Dexter's sole had started to separate from the leather upper so the search began. After reading hundreds of reviews like this one I decided the Timberland Chocorua was what I thought I would like. We went to theTimberland "factory outlet" where I tried them on for size and comfort. They really do feel like a pair of sneakers. With the Gortex, high quality leather, good lacing system and general rugged looks I know I had found my boot. Last night we had our first snowstorm while it was 11 degrees outside. Shoveling for more than a hourthe boots stayed warm, dry and comfortable with zero sweat buildup. A couple of stomps on the ground took the ten inch snowfall off and then a quick wipe with a towel and they looked as they did coming out of the box. I look forward to years of comfortable use in my new Chocorua Trail Hikers.

I've worn these boots all over the country, and I must say that they have held up well. The leather will dry out and begin to show wear around the flex point at the toe, but a little leather treatment does the trick. The sole is a little thin for my taste, this would probably a 5 star review if they were vibram. The foot tends to twist and flex a little too much in boulders and roots, but that's just me. The GTX membrane is greatly welcomed as an accompaniment to the leather bottoms and has held up in many stream crossings. I have high arches and I find that I need to add an insole in order to get the proper support. As for the width, It hugs the foot nicely, and not too tight or loose. Shorter laces would be nice too.

A very good constructed boot for hiking and working in. I wear them everyday. I tried a cheaper pair from your company and ended up sending them back for the size was half what it was suppose to be. My toes curled up at the end of the boot. But I have bought at least five pair of this boot Chorcorua over the last several years and have no complaint for them. They last, water proof and I work all day on concrete and the support is great on the legs. Yes I will buy them again instead of looking at a cheaper pair.

I bought my first pair of these boots in October 2009 and just replaced them with another pair today. The old ones had about 1700 miles on them and were getting a bit worn out. My job involves walking most of the day through people's yards and sometimes cross-country. These boots are light, comfortable right out of the box, and waterproof. In nearly 31 years on the job I've never had any boots as comfortable as these, and I've worn just about all the brands out there.

I'm also a backpacker and would recommend these for all but the toughest hikes.

Great Boot, looks good, true to fit, and well made. Comfortable right out of the box. I am looking forward to using this as my primary motorcycle touring boot.

These seem to be a good pair of boots so far and should do the job as a work boot for me as a corrections officer. They aren't however as comfortable as the Timberland Rangeley that I have for everyday use outside of work with is why I subtracted a star. Unfortunately the Rangeley has been discontinued.

These boots are so comfortable. They are also extremely light-weight. I am very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend.

I travel a lot and these are easy to take with me... Light enough for travel but sturdy enough for light/medium hikes. I love 'm! ( they are a little smaller then my other Timberland Boots -Alpine trail- so think about ordering a half size larger...)
