Just like the real-time reconnaissance military drone that inspired the creation of these boots, the Outrider was designed to help you stay a step ahead of the enemy. At just under 19 oz., it's light enough to keep you quick on your feet. The abrasion-resistant suede leather and ballistic nylon upper is capped off with a full-rubber outsole, meaning you can drag them through hell and back without worrying about wear down. As far as comfort is concerned, a removable EVA cushion insole featuring a sponge rubber heel wedge makes for a responsive feel that returns energy with every step. Made with only the highest-quality materials and an intelligent design, the TG Outrider delivers the best possible boot at the best possible value.

Out of the box pretty rigid. They appear well made and look like they will last a while. Well ventilated and geared more for warmer months. Completely covered toe can't be a bad thing. The lacing systme is solid.

Now the fit. Fist impression is these boots run way to wide. Length was a good fit. Two pairs of socks and still alot of room to grow width wise though. Might be nice on a long movement when my feet end up swelling like a hobbit. The heel has a leather or felt pad which doesn't really help that much when things start heating up. With no pocket to fit into there's a lot of movement there as well. The toe box is the highlight here. Plenty of room. All boot manufacturers take note. Too much room here is good.

They are not as cushy as my Danner Tacitus' but where they can make up ground is longevity as the bunny slipper Danners are already showing a lot of wear after only a few months.

Keeping in mind they were $60 on sale, this is a solid first effort for TG with a little room for improvement. Will be going with me through a long ass school with plenty of walking so a follow on review might be the right thing to do.

Tried quite a few boots during my service and these are very close to, if not at, the top of my list of best boots I've owned. Very light, smart construction around the laces to ease flexibility, the fabric around the top of my foot is smooth--owned a few other boots have a very uncomfortable, eventually painful clump of fabric/stitching at the top of my foot--with plenty of room for the side of my toes, cushion around the top of the boot, amd the sole is pretty flexible. My feet require special inserts for my boots. The original inserts came out without any problems. A few folks are already asking where I've purchased them. No hesitation spreading the word. Thanks!

I have tried many different boots through the years that coast more than these. I read the reviews on these boots and figured I would give them a shot. They do run a little wide, which was perfect for me because I need extra wide boots. They are very light and comfortable. I did not like the laces that came with them so I changed them out with 550 cord (coyote brown) and they look like they came with the boots. I liked them so much, I bought two more pair for later. They are Chinese made, but seem to be constructed well, so it's not a reason to not get them.

Excellent boots for the price IMO. I needed new boots and figured I'd try these because if they sucked I could give them to one of my brothers and I wouldn't be out much. Turns out, these are comparable to my old Danners! Probably not as light but very close. My only complaint is they run a little big. I typically wear a 11 but I went with a 10.5 because they're boots and figured they'd be a little on the big side. They aren't slipping around but there seems to be a ton of toe room. Almost as if they were made to have a safety toe. I'm also not a huge fan of the sole. Feels very flat so I'll probably have to get insoles. I've owned Bellevue's, Corcoran's, Rocky S2V's & C4T's, Danner's and now these and I'd place them at #2 between Corcoran and Danner. The big question will be durability. C4T's lasted 3 months of deployment before falling apart and Danners went about a year before they started hurting my feet from breaking down. Time will tell if they will hold up to 140 degrees this summer...

Explanation: First let me explain my situation. I wear a brace, or an A.F.O. on my right foot, that needs to fit into what ever boot I buy, and unfortunately I purchased the wrong size. Instead of a 10- Regular, I would like to exchange them for a 10 1/2- Wide, if that is possible? I like the boot, they are lighter than anything I have ever worn before, (although I do need ankle support) including, while serving in the military. If the wider, larger pair don't work, I may need to get something with an optional zipper, on the inside of of the boot? I will send this pair back. Thank you, I enjoyed trying out your product, and, I hope to do more business with your company in the future. Thanks. Orlando

I was pleased to buy such a well priced item, but the boots seem to be wide rather than regular. I typically like my boots to be fitting but with a little moving room. I have narrow feet and there is entirely too much space. I am in the military and the height of the ankle and calf area is not as high as I expected and am used to, this also concerned me because I feel like I'm not getting enough support. Overall the shipping time was good, make of the show is great,
and not as heavy as the typical boot. Unfortunately, I'll be sending them back due to my concerns and would've kept them otherwise.

I bought TG boots because I need a pair of coyote brown boots quickly. Standard shipping was on the mark. I revived my boots less around four days. I put on the TG's the felt like a pair of sneakers no break in required. I have worn verius types of boot during over thirty career, these are definitely top three. If it was cost only these are number one. Other soldiers have asked me how much they cost and fit/feel. I told the for less than $70.00 (the ones I purchased were on sale for $56.00) you couldn't get a better pair. If I can I'll follow with how they do with wear and longevity.
Thanks TG!

Item came as described and seemed like a nice product. The uppers were a bit thin and seemed to lack a lot of support but overall appear to be an inexpensive quality boot.

However, the boots that came were the size I ordered but were about 3 sizes "too BIG" for the size they were supposed to be. In other words, the size 8 that I ordered and came delivered were about the size of a size 10/11 and can not be worn. Now I have to RMA the boots, go to FedEx, pay for return shipping, order another pair, wait for delivery, etc. etc.

Shipping was fine and delivery was prompt. Customer service was also courteous.

First off I bought the sage boot, so I cannot vouch for any other. It is super light weight and mostly comfortable. The metal eyelets are riveted on and in someplaces they are a little too tight to get the laces through easily. It could definitely use some ankle support, and the seam that runs up the back of the ankle tends to rub and magically make blisters appear. It definitely needs a little more padding everywhere to be really comfortable. Reminds me more of old school jungle boots than anything else. The back of the calf support is to low to wrap laces, so if you try they tend to cut in. Boots do fit well and are fairly comfortable for a combat boots. I had a pair of Oakley's I wore in Iraq that were just as lightweight and comfortable, but about three times the price.

An Amazing boot for the price! When delivery driver handed me the box I thought the box was empty, the boots are that light weight. The boots look well made with double stitching through out. I wear size 9 regular and the size 9 I ordered fit beautifully. I bought these boots for everyday and work wear. I work at Walmart unloading trucks and stocking shelves. Their light weight is a blessing as I'm on my feet constantly for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. The boot is not restricting in anyway allowing me to crouch and kneel with no problems. I committed to my girlfriend wishing the Army had these boots when I was in service. Would definitely recommend and would buy again in the future.
