They look great. They are light. The sizing was correct (I wear a 9.5), it was true to that.
I put these on just to check the size when they first arrived. Fit great! Just walked around my room a bit. Kept them on for a half hour or so.
THEN, I just had drill weekend. Put them on and within 30 minutes, I had a blister on my left heel the size of a nickel, and a blister on my right heel the size of a penny. It is a good thing that I had another (older) pair to wear and that I keep a first aide kid with me.
I had to peel off the blistered skin, apply neosporin and a large band-aide to both heels, change my socks and use my old boots.
In the heel of these boots, on the inside cup, is material that is just like the outer material, rough cowhide. I'm guessing maybe, to help hold the heel in place or something. It was terrible (the pain on my heels. I have never experienced this with any other boots. I don't have a "condition" with my heels, and I am not a "tenderfoot". I wear military and work boots all of the time.
I will be returning these. The price was good, they look great, they are light, I like the lacing system, BUT the material in the inside heel area is definitely problematic.
I cut mole-skin pieces to adhere to the inside cup area of the heel, and tried again with them the next day. My already existing blisters probably didn't help, but I had to change the boots out again, in about an hour.
Very disappointed.

I wear a size 10 running shoe and purchased this a full size down as recommended. It fits really well and is very comfortable when sitting at my desk or even standing for long periods. The issue is when walking/moving for a while. The heel is a rigid piece of rubber/plastic with no fabric or padding on it. I don't have to worry about hitting the back of my heel on something which is nice, but after about 10 minutes of moving, a blister begins to develop. I tried wearing two pairs of socks and it didn't help. So I chose to tape some gauze bandages to my heals. I did this for the first week in the boots and it helped a lot. I have worn the boots without double socks or gauze for the past two weeks in hopes that my heels would build some calluses, but so far it has just been small blisters every day. I will try to find a way to modify the heel of the boot to add a layer of padding most likely because I don't like sitting at my desk all day. Otherwise, it is exactly the boot I wanted. Lightweight, composite toe that is comfortable for the front of the foot as apposed to a clunky steel toe.

The boots look great. After a week of breaking in, they slide on easy but I still have trouble getting my heal out when I'm taking them off. Also I'm glad I got Regular instead of Wide; the depth is nuts on but there is a Lot of room for my foot to move around inside the boot.

Wore these out for a 14 hour day and no issues. Fit just like my combat boots perfect snug fit, not even one hot spot, and exactly what I expect in a new pair of boots.
