Innovation hard at work. Tactical Research by Belleville is excited to introduce the MAXX Series of ultra-cushioned tactical boots. The Fatt Maxx SZ is designed with a unique performance midsole featuring softer density, higher volume and greater rebounding foam than standard tactical boots. The MAXX Series allow your foot to sink deeply into the midsole for greater stability, uniformity of stride and overall comfort. These boots also feature premium cattlehide leather and a Vibram Ballistic outsole that delivers incredible grip. And the side zip functionality ensures quick and easy access to minimize complications in a tactical situation. As the maximalist footwear category continues to thrive, The Fatt Maxx SZ will be the mighty leader of the pack.

First, work environment.
Automotive stamping facility which means all concrete and steel floors with lots of oil everywhere. Very hot and dirty at times with lots of sharp things to ruin your week.
That said, when I received the two year report on these exact boots from a coworker I decided I’d probably waited too long to make the purchase.
First thing I noticed is how light they are.
Second thing is how impossibly comfortable they are. A little strange at first, like walking barefoot in a bog but they return the energy from each step. That’s how it feels to me, the front and back of the feet each sink in and the boot pushes each part back upon leaving the ground.
I didn’t see “oil and slip resistant” in the description but they are at the very least as good as the red wings I’ve been wearing for decades that are labeled as such.
I didn’t think I’d care about the “tactical side zipper” but my day is counted in minutes and the time saved in not lacing boots up and down each day is adding up fast.
Maybe most important is the fact that my feet don’t hurt at the end of 12 hours on concrete and steel. I’m three weeks into these boots and about to buy another pair for walking in and out (one mile each way) because I’m sick of “athletic shoes” for the hike in and out.

I already owned an 8 inch pair of these boots and love them. I’m a diabetic and these boots are the most comfortable boots anyone can have that has neuropathy in their lower legs and feet. I also have spinal stenosis so I have other pain issues in my lower legs and feet. I now live in Arizona so being able to buy these boots in a 6 inch size was a no-brainer. They are lightweight and have so much cushion that I don’t feel any pain on the balls of my feet which I do in my other boots and shoes. So naturally they have become the only boots I’m wearing now and probably will wear into the future.

A number of people swore by these boots in my department si tgey hyped up pretty good. I’m 6’2” 240lbs and these boots are nice. No pain other than a small blister during break in. Are they like walking on clouds? I don’t know about that. I do not have any back, knee or other joint pain from these. They are very fast to get on and seem really well built. The heel to toe rise isn’t as significant as I thought it would be. I do love that the zipper goes all they way down so you do not have to untie the boot.

I had read that these run 1/2 size larger but this was not the case. I have worn these type of boots for the past 15 years and didn't see a sz difference.
The zipper style is great and easy to use. The insole is not the high point of these boots. I threw them away and replaced them with a thick high quality insole after the 1st day.
The boot is very comfortable, more than most of the boots i have worn. Aftet a few days of breaking in, they formed to my feet very nicely

20 plus years on the street and my back has had it. A coworker bought a pair and loved them so I did too. They have made a big difference in the amount of time I can stand without pain. A few ordering tips. If you are in a warm climate make sure not to buy the "WP" (waterproof) version. They are warm. I have always worn 8" but bought the 6" boots. They are strange only cause they feel like hightop basketball shoes. A good purchase.

The build quality of this boot is Top notch. The Comfort is by far the best I've ever had. I highly recommend it if extreme comfort is your thing. My only minor complaint is that I wish they had a pull tab on the back to ease donning the boots..

Second purchase of this product from tactical gear, and it was a great transaction and buy. These boots have served me well and are very comfortable for 12+ hours on my feet on hard surfaces. Walking in them is also good.
