I love these boots and they fit within new AFI 36-2903. If you can’t get away with these, I would recommend trying the Guardian’s (670-1 compliant).
I would say these run slightly larger (like 1/4 size) than my Salomon 3 GTX mids, but the locking lace system is fantastic. It allows me to lock my heel down with plenty of room in the toe box. I Immediately put superfeet insoles in them for extra arch support. I took 1/2 a star off because they are not as breathable as I hoped they would be. After a 12hr shift, my socks can be a little damp if I don’t take my boots off and let them air out. However, I like them so far and think they will be great once they are broke in. (I would say it will take about 30 miles to really break these in, not straight out of the box like most Salomon footwear). I can’t speak to the durability as I’ve only had them for a few weeks, but they seem to be pretty sturdy.

Absolutely love these boots. That are helping my plantar fasciitis a lot. I work in some extreme conditions and run and hike a lot as part of my job and these boots are awesome!

The quality is top notch. Relatively lightweight for how rugged it is. Looks and feels great. Been using Salomon boots for a long time and these are my favorite yet. Highly recommend even though they are pricey.

I bought these boots for work, I wear them for 10-14 hrs at a time. On my feet for 90% of my day. Most boots take a few wears to start to get comfortable, it’s been 2 weeks and these boots are consistently the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. Incredibly well built boot, terribly uncomfortable. Sincerely disappointed.

Boot is very comfortable. Biggest complaint is the soles come apart. I have had these for about two years and have had to glue the bottom several times. Seems for the price they could come up with a stitched sole.

I’m a cop and I’m a Danner boots man but I love Salomon’s. This is my second pair and it won’t be my last. Great boot for SWAT training.

So far these boots have been very comfortable out of the box. I’ve worn them at work for a couple weeks and have no complaints. The size fit true and it is worth noting the center of the boot is narrow for those who need wider boots. I would recommend this boot to anyone who needs an athletic boot with what appears to be quality construction. So far the waterproofing is living up to its claims as well.

Still haven’t worn them out in the wilderness. Just been wearing them around work to break them in.
The size was true for me. So that’s good. But one thing i have noticed is that the extra fabric where the the tongue flaps are bunch up and presses up against my shin. Which would really cause a problem once i start hiking.
