Designed with law enforcement officers in mind, the Propper TAC.U Coat is modeled after the traditional ACU coat, but with added functionality and flexibility. The poly/cotton ripstop material is tough enough to handle constant wear and abuse in inclement weather conditions, while keeping the wearer dry and warm. There are ACU-style pockets on the chest and sleeves for rapid access to essential items. It is designed with a longer coattail for tucking into pants, ideal for uniform use. The external elbow pockets are intended for elbow pads and there are hook and loop fields placed at strategic points for patch or insignia attachment.

I ordered this one because I wanted to try it out and because I like pockets to carry my stuff in. It is well made, however I don't know how practical. I do not like the collar. The collar is a little bit uncomfortable, at least for me. But no problems with materials or anything else. Time will tell.

Same as the ACU tops I was issued in the Army, but in a fabric I personally prefer, in colors I like. Has all the same faults and benefits of the ACU, but when you're on the road a lot, the shoulder pockets really make things easy, and it's durable enough for the rig yard. Best thing Propper could do is replace the dainty plastic zipper with a brass one, but other than that, I really have no complaints.

Use to bdu tops. This is better love the collar great for cold conditions.velcro wrist keeps air out.
