Offering non-stop comfort and high levels of performance, the Original SWAT Classic 9" is a perfect uniform boot for law enforcement officers and tactical operators. These boots meet stringent ASTM standards for slip resistance and electrical hazard protection, and feature a moisture-wicking Aegis lining to eliminate odor and fungus. The non-marking rubber outsole is stitched at the toe and heel, extending the service life of the boots. A compression-molded EVA midsole and a removable orthotic footbed delivers superior comfort and support where you need it most. The upper is made from a blend of full-grain leather and 1000-denier Cordura nylon for rugged durability, while a gusseted tongue prevents dirt and debris from entering the boot. With a steel shank and a Texon stability platform to keep you on your feet, this boot does not disappoint.

I rarely write product reviews. The again, I rarely get a product that literally has impacted the quality of my life. A little background. After spinal fusion surgery a few years ago I developed drop foot syndrome. This caused me to trip and fall on multiple occasions. I was leaving for a vacation in Vegas and the Grand Canyon and knew there would be a lot of walking. So, I bought my first pair of SWAT Classic 9". The positive result was immediate and amazing. As long as I laced the boot tightly, it held my ankle in place and no tripping and no falling. Because I began wearing my boots in a professional setting, I needed a pair to blend in with different color slacks, so I got my second pair...this time, black. Like the first pair, right out of the box, they fit like a glove. I can walk anywhere without fear of falling. Thanks for a great product.

I was issued these boots as a cadet at a large state university...you can figure out which one it is yourself.I had never heard of "Original SWAT", and half expected to be issued Bates, McRae's or Danners. Nope. First, these aren't even close to 9". My Nike SFB 2.0's (which are freaking awesome, I reviewed them earlier) are almost exactly 8". These are like 6.5", 7'. They make you look like a hobbit in ACU's/BDU's. I wore them for my initial training and on a couple rucks, and finally on a 13mi hike. My pinky toe on both boots popped out of the sides, six or seven eyelets literally tore out of the leather and the feel on the boots is awful.

SO, if you wanna get boots for yard work, Airsoft/paintball, or if your kids want to play "army", go ahead and get these, because they're really cheap for what you're getting. If you're into boot camp, ROTC/OCS/Service Academy, or a garrison environment, these aren't worth it. I would HATE to wear these on a deployment, and they would probably fall apart after about a month or two of patrolling in Afghanistan. If you want good boots for garrison, go with Nike's or Rocky's. If you are deploying, get Bellevilles or McRae's.

As a LEO I've been wearing these boots for years now. They hold up well considering I work in the brush a lot and really tear them up. They always clean up nicely and easy to polish. New they are very stiff and take awhile to break in and really get comfortable. I usually get about 2 years out of a pair. Only complaint i have is the excessive stiffness when new and when they are at the end of their life I notice he eyelets get worn out and sharp and cut thru the laces. That's odd... but then I keep them tied tight.

Best tactical boots that I ever owned. Comfortable, lightweight & rugged. My last pair of O.S. boots lasted me 6 years. But I still wear them for working around the house, hiking, I just can't wear them with my uniform because the shine is just about gone. But still waterproof & oil & blood resistant. I wouldn't wear anything else. They are even better than HI-TECH tactical boots, which I owned as well.

Best pair of combat boots I've ever worn. Super comfortable, like wearing your favorite pair of running shoes, lightweight yet durable. I ran warrior runs in these and felt amazing afterwards.

Soft suede toes, arches & heels wear nicely but can stain easily (oils). Water will leave marks, but brush it out. Canvas ankles/sides are durable. May have to go up 1/2 to 1 size. I normally wear 13 and found it to be a little snug with bulky boot socks.

I've had them over a year now, the majority of that being in the sandbox, wearing them daily and they're ready to be put out to pasture. BUT I beat the crap out of these boots and they still offer a lot of cushioned support.

I had the same type and size boots for a few years until I wore them out. Well almost.

I had no luck in the local stores listed online so qent straight to the source. Well priced, boxed, and fit perfectly.

Highly recommend the brand!

Been wearing OS since we were a black-boot Army. 12years of service and I've gone through 5 pairs. My jobs have included, Infantry, Military Police, and now a desk jockey due to injuries. I am about to buy my sixth pair... because my new job is in a training unit and I have to "look pretty". The sole wears out before with the upper just beggint for more service. Thinkin about resoling pair5 with old tire tread. These boots are so awsome. Worth every penny!

Ordered wide pair and they are much wider than what I am used to. Also they are very slippery on wet floors. Great on dry floors so far but scary slippery on wet and I work in the jail where slipping and sliding can be dangerous.

My husband works in water mitigation, so he deals with water losses & demo. He has always worn through his military boots pretty fast. So far he loves these. They fit perfect, are very comfortable, & so far very durable!

These boots resemble the boots by Response Gear Tactical Footwear (which can be found at Big5 Sporting Goods for $60) which are nothing more than "OK" boots, that are OK for about a year before the boots get worn down to the point of hurting the wearer's feet and the leather would turn from desert tan to a weird green. Original SWAT hopefully will do a decent job using this boot design than RG did.
