First off this boot runs a tad small. I believe it advises to purchase at least a half size larger than your typical shoe size. I would highly recommend this. I typically wear a 12 in Nike and purchased a 12 1/2 based on that recommendation. The boot fits great, had I purchased the size 12 it would’ve been too small. I went back-and-forth on this before purchasing but decided to listen and go to half-size bigger, thank goodness. Extremely comfortable, the souls of the boots have a very soft but stable foot bed. Polish up well if needed. This particular book doesn’t offer much in terms of ankle support however does have some. More or less feels like you’re wearing a sneaker than an actual boat. I would buy again in a heartbeat and have recommended this book to many of my colleagues. Thanks for the great product and fast shipping amongst the worldwide pandemic.

For the purpose of comparison, my previous pair of boots were Magnum Stealth Force 8.0, and I wanted to try something different. The lowers on these boots are very form fit - more so than my previous pair (not a knock on the Magnums), and are very comfortable.
The uppers are where you'll see the biggest difference. By comparison, the Magnums had much thicker padding, particularly around the ankles. The closest boot that I can compare these to when it comes to the uppers are an old pair of "Vietnam era Jungle Boots" that I once owned. They have the same sort of feel - more flexible/less padding.
All in all, I think it's a good buy. The only reason I dinged it half a star is because I can't judge the long-term quality yet. My previous pair lasted 2 years, and they're still seeing "garage service".
So far, so good.

Here's the follow up review (see 7/13 review below) after being a few months in:
At first, they were uncomfortable (pinching, etc.) but then I realized that I was just lacing them too tight. You have to have, though, a give and take between the light weight and absence of padding when compared to other other tac boots. That's the big picture view.
Here is the one detail that reduced it to three stars.
I've never, ever, EVER suffered from Bromodosis (stinky feet) - not even a little bit. After about two weeks These. Boots. Stunk. Badly. Not a "B.O." smell, but a very heavy chemical smell. I took out the insoles and isolated the source of the stank. I don't know if it was the materials that the insoles were made of, or the adhesive that kept them in place, but these things were RIPE!!! I've since replaced them with aftermarket insoles, and, problem solved. Fair warning.
Still an okay buy, but next time, I'm going to go with a pair made in the US.

As an LEO I’m pretty picky about my boots. And as all LEO’s know we definitely put them through the test. I’ve had these boots for a year and they have served me pretty well. Right out of the box they fit great and were ready to go, no breaking in what so ever. Sizing is on point, they’re super comfortable, light, breathable and the sole grips pretty well. However, after a year has passed, the sole is beginning to separate a little. It’s nothing extreme and I could probably fix it with some high strength glue but even if I didn’t I’m sure I could get another spring and summer out of them. The only negative opinion I have about these boots is that they don’t do well with getting wet. Step in a large puddle and your feet are soaked, or even walk through tall wet grass and your feet will get a little wet. However, they do seem to dry out pretty well after some time through the shift due to it being so breathable. I will say though, I would definitely not suggest this for the winter months. A goretex version would be great but with lack of breathability in most goretex boots your feet may get a bit hot or sweaty.

I've worn 2 pair of Nike boots over the last 8 years and had no issues with them besides normal wear and tear. These boots had 2 issues ( I was working through them until this morning). 1. The do not run small. I wore a 9.5 in the previous versions of the boot, but they were too big and I had to exchange for a 9 which are still a little big, but that process took years off my life. 2. The tongue on these boots is not high enough and the laces rub your shin. This sucks, but I was working through it. 3. The final straw....I've worn these boots 3 days sitting in a classroom setting (on my butt most of the day) and on the 4th day as I'm tightening the laces before work, and eyelet breaks. These boots are not what they used to be and I would recommend either staying with the older versions or trying another company. Now I'm on the search for a new pair of boots and look like a moron with jacked up laces...

I bought these boots because the first generation was EXCELLENT. They were comfortable, broke in easily, fast lacing, and looked great. Nike is obviously not keen on sticking with a good design. Everything I mentioned in the 1st gen they THREW OUT IN THE 2ND GEN. The heel wore a blister almost immediately, never had that problem in gen1. I have had them over a year now and THEY STILL HAVENT BROKEN IN. They put the laces in random spots farther down the forefoot, my only guess is to pull tighter there, and it virtually DESTROYS THE FAST LACE CONCEPT. You have to tighten the first half of the boot and then tighten the second half of the boot, RIDICULOUS. I will give them credit that they still look good, and they are slightly warmer due to a change in material. But overall, not a great pair of boots. Get the 1st gen if you want an excellent pair of boots.

I’ve had these about two weeks now. The initial

I wear these boots around 50/60 hours a week
And I’ve had the exact opposite experience of the reviewer below me.
I take them off after 12 hours and my feet or sock are never smelly or wet - and same for inside the shoe. First boots I feel like that actually allow me feet to breathe.
Also. Shoes take a great shine and look badass!
I personally love them and I’ve had a few people already ask me where I got them

After my last pair of SZ tactical boots broke on me I decided to buy a pair with just laces this time and saw these.
After a day of breaking them in I thought they were pretty nice. Sole had a good mix of durability without being too thick or stiff, had a very comfortable fit, and I liked the style. Wear them for both EMT and just everyday since I like military and combat boots. Have walked in them but I haven't run in them yet.

They need time to get broken in. They have a huge fabric tongue, my left boot has a fold right where it is sewn into the boot making it extremely uncomfortable. I'm hoping it will flatten out with time. The soles are nice & can spend lots of time walking in them. I wish they had better ventilation, my feet sweat a bunch during the day.
