I've worked the streets for over twenty six years and still going strong. I've tried all kinds of brands of boots. In 2006 I was run down by a car which caught my right leg and foot in the fender well of the vehicle. The right leg was trashed pretty bad and the ankle was broke in several places but the doctor said had it not been for my DANNER boots it would have taken my entire foot. The boots saved my foot. After two years in a wheel chair and rehab I'm back patrolling the streets and wearing my DANNER boots. Great boots no matter how much they cost.

I bought these boots in January 1993 stationed in Alaska, they were $269.00 then wore them to the field that night jumped out of an C130 airplane and then walked 15 miles back to the base they have been my single best investment I have had them for 21 years and still going I have had them put a resole on them and since I'm retired now they only come out when its cold, but they still are the best boots, I also hated that i couldnt wear them in Iraq due to being uniformity so i froze my feet in jungle boots. This is the toughest boot on the planet.

I've been wearing the same pair of these for eight years now and love them. The only reason I said "almost" perfect is because of the linning. After about two years of wearing these boots I tore the linning out of them on purpose. After that they became what I call the perfect pair of duty boots. I just wish Danner would make some without the linning out of the factory. O well, the way things are looking I will be wearing this pair for eight more years. Great boots, last for ever!

Bought a pair of these at a garage sale that were brand new, still in the box with the sales receipt from a Federal employee who had ordered them and before receiving them was transfered to a desk job. His loss,my gain. I have two bad feet and they are the most comfortable shoes I own and they were only $65 and the sales slip said $259. I won all the way around and I love them!

I supervise a 30 dog Police K-9 Unit and have been swearing by these boots for years. They fit perfect out of the box with minimal break in and are very durable. I've owned six pairs in 29 years and have had several pair recrafted by Danner, which is a strong selling point.

I work as a Correctional Officer in a State Prison and I am on my feet all day long. These are the best and most comfortable boots I have ever owned in my 17 plus years of service.
If you are looking for comfort and durability , these are the right boots for you.
