Designed with athletic flexibility and tactical functionality in mind, the Bates Velocitor SZ WP is a comfortable boot for jobs that require constant standing or walking. It is the combined EVA midsole and thermoplastic polyurethane arch supports in the outsole that provide all-day comfort. The rubber outsole can handle uneven surfaces and rocky terrain with ease, while the full-grain leather and mesh upper is durable, but still ventilated for a cool, dry interior. There is a dual-density cushioned insole that supports the foot at major stress points and bends with the boot's flexible cement construction. Bates offers a boot that does not sacrifice comfort and adaptability for comfort and function.

Had a pair of these boots for three months. I will say they were very comfortable. No break in was needed. Firefighter/EMT working long days, my feet felt great at the end of the day still. I used the boots as station boots and ran on EMS calls only with these boots. That said, they were used in a manor I felt should be been a easily in the design scope of what the boot could handle.
Sadly after 3 months the boots started separating at the sole in many places, particularly the heal and around the inside near the big toe area. The stitching was also separating at various panels near the sole of the boot as well.
Tactical gear was great about sending a new pair of boots and handling the returned. I've had a new pair now for 1 month and already I've had sole separation and had an eyelet pull out. Again, same use, nothing super taxing for what the boot should have been designed for.
Unfortunately this has given me a sour taste for anything Bates. These will be returned for a refund this time and a new brand will be purchased.

I'm a law enforcement officer and I go on the streets every day go up and down in buildings and some times have to stay in one place for alot hours with out moving .. I search all over the Internet and I find the bates velocitor ... I been using it for 2 weeks and in my 12 years in the force is the first time my feet don't get tired and feel amazing wearing it ... So far I recommend it they are wide enough and same time ....your feet like a glove ....highly recommended ...

My first Bates boots. I wear boots 12-14 hrs a day. Thought it was pricey at first but was surprised with the comfort on the first day, second then third day. No break in! After a month to see how the sole wears I'll probably be purchasing a second pair.

I was impressed with these boots out of the box, comfortable and good fit. I have been wearing them for about 2 weeks and noticed the soles of the boots are coming unglued and flapping, I am hard on my shoes but these are failing way to early

So far these boots are amazing. Was very surprised that I could stand in 6 inches of water and never got even a drop of water in my boots. Yet they still are very breathable and super comfortable. I will be buying these boots again.

its a more beefy version of that under armour valset boot. slightly heavier, but is built 100 times stronger. I blew my underarmour tac boots to pieces in less than a year. i couldnt even walk through dew grass in the under armour valcet boot without my socks getting soaked. looking forward to hitting the streets with these bad mama jammaz...

Didn’t even get to the wearing phase. Extra wide size was far from. Am a 4E and have worn Bates XW for years. Now have sent back 2 pair for same issue. Disappointing.

Looks better in person or on your feet. Fit is spot on and I love the side zipper. Have yet to wear them but I’m looking forward to using them daily in the office!
