For a functional, comfortable and lightweight uniform shoe with the shine and professional appearance required for office work, Bates offers the High Shine Duty Oxford. Constructed from a durable rubber outsole found in tactical boots, this oxford is durable and long lasting. It also features slip resistance for traction and stability. The athletic cement construction provides much needed comfort when standing or walking for extended periods of time, while the breathable, inner mesh lining keeps feet dry and cool. The most critical component to any uniform shoe is the shine, which Bates ensures with the high-shine leather upper. It not only shines, but is also as durable and tough as your favorite Bates boot.

These are great shoes, bought my son these for Military College at Norwich University and Bates is A Americam made PRODUCTS and is why its one of 2 COMPANIES use to buy all shoes and boots, so to the person wishes that there American MADE, then your all set, unless they changed in 4 year's, went to order a new set but he didnt want them, his was like new EXCEPT the back heels are worn out from CORNERS, can't help that on cement or tar GROUNDS now. I bought him the same just the shock resistant one's to make comfortable to wear everyday all day. If not these then his Belleville boots, only reason why was they had them in stock and i ordered a pair for me also. Broken in and comfortable, for me they get heavy due to 2 broken feet and a broken back and wear these for winter, i get tired quickly to begin with but gives me the exercise needed. And no break in process, thats the best.

I like the shoes. I think the laces are a bit short. I wish they were American made.
