Ka-Bar Mark 98 Folder Tactical Reviews, Deals, Problems and Guides

I was looking for another hefty flipper and I got exactly that. It’s built solid. I have no problem beating on this knife. I use it for bigger projects (we all switch out depending on the day). Sharp out of the box. Very easy opener but my only drawback was the locking mechanism. It actually takes two hands to close (right know). Hopefully with more use it breaks because using two hands to close it is a real downer. I guess I shouldn’t complain much, at least it won’t accidentally close on me. It’s a Ka-Bar alright, hardcore!

The knife has a nice size and weight to it great for EDC. Out of the box it is sharp and so far the edge has held up well. My only 'complaint' was that the pocket clip was a little tight upon receipt so I had to bend it slightly to have it slide in and out of my pocket easier.

This is a beautiful, sharp, solid knife. I am very disappointed how hard it opens and closes.

Was looking for a new EDC. This is a great, simple, no frills knife. Quality built, smooth action open and close. Solid locking. Feels great in the hand. Came razor sharp out of the box.
