I wasn't sure how well-constructed this knife is, as it's thinner than the Ka-Bar BK2, but I was pleasantly surprised at the blade's sturdiness. It's much longer than the BK2, so I might have been ok with buying just this one, but what the hey, now I've got 2 great knifes. With a much longer blade than the BK2, this one should be especially easy to use for batonning thicker pieces of wood. The sheath for this knife is ok; it appears to be a type of heavy cordura/nylon, but what I don't understand is that on the side facing out there's a place to sheathe a smaller knife, which of course isn't included. I didn't remember seeing this on the product info before making my purchase.

Awesome knife, I'm getting addicted to the kabar and Becker knives. They are built solid!! The sheath could be better, but it works.
