All of the practical and desirable characteristics of a functional gun holster. The Avenger is crafted from premium saddle leather and fits belts up to 1 3/4" wide. The full combat grip accessibility permits an instant shooting grip while the stitched sight rails help to prevent snags on the draw. Tension screw allows for micro-adjustment of the draw stroke. And vertical orientation allows for a fast, wrist-locked draw stroke while the reinforced sheath opening yields effortless re-holstering. The Avenger belt holster is designed for semiautomatic pistols and offers sensible features to meet your carry needs.

I’m a purveyor of everything Galco. I have multiple holsters and their quality is second to none. As far as the Avenger is concerned, I’m not a fan. The hoslter provides zero retention. The “screw” on the holster which I assume is used to tighten the draw of the gun is worthless. I purchased the Avenger for a 1911. I did not feel confident with my gun holstered. I felt my gun would fall out or could easily be removed. The Avenger is acceptable for a range day, but nothing more. Note, I returned the Avenger for a refund.

I haven't range tested it yet; rather have been busy breaking it in. Instructions for this about putting the weapon in plastic bag and letting it sit for 15 minutes as stated in instructions will NOT instantly work. Three days of an hour in southern New Mexico sun for a few times WILL. The fit is just about where I want it now. I have other Galco holsters but its been awhile since i fitted them and one tends to forget the breaking in process.

It fits like a glove and though it will require some breaking in it hold the weapon firmly at my side without producing a bulge. (Which I love)
