Does the job and hold's the notebook and pen well. I bought this because, as a Police Officer, I use my notebook almost every day at work. The chest pockets on the vest I have do not fit a standard 3x5 notebook. Go figure. Taking the notebook out is easy, but putting it back is challenging. Sometimes you have to be able to put the notebook back with one hand on the job. This pouch requires two hands. I went back to just keeping a notebook in my side cargo pocket for easier access and putting back in the pocket.
