I've already raved about this jacket previously. I'm a kind of a snob about clothing brands and Condor was never on my radar for anything other than a ball cap. This jacket is really superior to many famous brands that cost twice as much or more. My wife immediately went for mine and so ordered this one for her. She's 5'6" and about 125# and the men's small was too large so have exchanged this one for an XS that fits her perfectly and she loves it for working on our ranch. Only con is the front YKK zipper can be sticky at first. Highly recommend!

Best Tactical for price - fitting is perfect unless you’re a slob - buy your normal size - best interior pockets of a great tactical jacket and I’ve tried almost all - what I call “dump inside pockets” allow you to dump a medium size EDC in them or hat and gloves plus small secure Velcro and secure zipper (all inside). The only thing missing is forearm zippers but interiors make up for them. Bicep zippers are useless but every jacket has them - Velcro for patches is great quality. THIS IS MY SECOND JACKET - My first lasted 2 years of 3 season every day wear but too many washes eventually broke down windproofing. MY 1 complaint is that Velcro on 1 wrist does not stick. I kept jacket and put up with it for 2 years (looking stupid but totally comfortable). I should have returned it but that year they were hard to find at that time of year. I just tried another brand and am sending it back and purchased my 2nd one of these because of pockets, fit, weatherproofing, and lastly style. Please do not send me another one with one wrist’s Velcro that does not work again.

Im 5'11 215 athletic build with broad shoulders, I order a XL and it fits perfect. If you want to add on a lot of shit underneath then go with the 2XL if your my size. XL fits great with long sleeve and a t shirt. Warmth of the jacket is a B+....The material stretches with your reaching and pulling which makes the jacket feel great. The velcro wrist adjustment, stand up collar, lower back length, double zipper, pull string bottom, great pockets, make it a jacket that was actually thought about, when designed, for the real world and not just for style! As far as style, I think the jacket looks great! ONLY downfall i would say is the zipper. The double zipper is a little tricky starting and releasing sometimes but i appreciate the purpose of having it. So it deal with it. Great jacket and decent price. Hope this helped.... AIRBORNE!

First Jacket arrived in good time, upon opening the package and attempting to trying to try it on I could not get the zipper to operate properly. Contacted Customer Service and they sent a second Jacket. The Zipper works fine and the jacket fits well. Am a satisfied customer.

This softshell is by far the most effective jacket I've ever purchased/used. I was reported at my work sight to H.R. for wearing the tactical slingpack I had purchased because I was seen as a threat for saying the word "tactical". I am no longer allowed to carry any bag on premises because my coworkers have a right feel "safe and comfortable at work" (I work in a machine shop, mind you). So ,without anything to carry my items onto the job, I was left to carry it all by hand twice a day. I found this softshell and saw the many pockets, and thought that at the very least, if I can't fit all of my items into it, then I can fit most of it and carry the rest. Well It holds everything! I can once again carry all of my work items on my person throughout the entirety of the day, and know that whether it is hot, cold, rain, or snow that I face, I will remain cool/warm and dry while remaining as efficient as possible. Now I'm just praying that the same fruitloops don't report me for my awesome softshell.

P.S. I love the pit zippers!!

Contrary to other reviews, I found the size true to what I would usualy wear, an extra large. I am tall and very thin with my height mostly in my legs. It is warm and very water repellent. The main zipper can be a little tricky at first as it is a double zipper like a sleeping bag,but not a problem once u fiqure it out. Lots if pockets. Wish the accent, pocket zippers up on the lapel were a different color to contrast the jacket a little better. Would recommend.came within its 7 day shipping.

I need a new winter jacket since I've lost 60 ibs, I liked the looks of this jacket and bought It's only been cold enough once so far here in Colorado wear I could wear it. Loved it warm and comfortable. Love all the pockets and the Velcro on each arm so I can put on patches that may offend some people lol. I was a little concerned about the sizing as I had read reviews on other sights that said order a size up, I ordered my normal size X-large and it fits perfectly. Glad I bought it.

I really love this jacket. Plenty of storage, the jacket is warm compared to its weight and construction. My only complaint is the dual direction main zipper. To zip up the jacket engaging the zipper to allow easy on/off is more difficult than it should be. I know this is a useful feature to some but I think the zipper needs larger teeth to allow easier engagement for the normal zipping procedure. This would get 5 stars had it had a single zip with bigger/stronger teeth.

I'm a bigger guy, but 2XL jackets usually fit on me. I ordered this Jacket and a Propper BA Softshell jacket both in 2XL. I have room to spare in the Propper but the Condor was so tight I couldn't even get it on. I sent it back and ordered a 3XL. The 3XL fits but is still a little tight. Also the zipper is a real pain to get started when closing the jacket. Seems to be well made otherwise, but the fit issues may keep me from wearing it much.

The jacket has features normally found in much more expensive models and is made with an impressive level of attention to detail.

The Condor Phantom Soft Shell will provide years of good service to those using it as a duty jacket and even longer use for those of us who like all the features but don't feel the need to over-pay for a more well-known brand sticker on a lesser quality garment.
