Been looking for a good quality holster with good retention. Always been a leather fan, kydex doesn’t cut it. Been watching 1791 for a bit and have been experimenting with holsters, nothing has stood out. Everything was either a decent fit or comfortable, never both. Ordered mine and had it within a week. You can tell it is a quality heavy duty holster. Breaking it in is proving to be a challenge but for getting good retention i can live with it. It is very comfortable and probably has better retention then my kydex holsters. Packaging was unique and the added keychain was a nice bonus. Will definitely order more.

Heavy duty OWB belt holster for sure. I’m about done with kydex and wanted leather for my G19.5. Ordered this in the Signature Brown and it’s a beautiful, well made holster. But, it was the most difficult holster to break in that I’ve ever had. I did the heavy duty plastic baggy for days. Still needed two hands to pull the gun out when it was on my belt. I finally jammed my P80 into it and left it for a day. Much better, but still a little too snug, so I repeated the P80 again for another day. It’s fitting well now. I’m wondering if the 2.3 wouldn’t have been a better fit. Despite that, I’ll order another one at some point.

Ordered a owb for my Mp9C. I was sent the wrong holster due to a website mixup. Contacted 1791 immediately and they corrected the mistake and sent out a new holster the next day. Received the new holster 4 days later. Put my gun in a plastic bag overnight since it was extremely tight and the next day checked the stretch to see how it fit. It was way too tight and couldn’t draw out from the holster. I Put it in 2 plastic bags and left it for 5 days but didn’t seem to loosen up. When I put the gun into the holster it pushes the slide back and I still can ‘t draw from the holster. My Walter pps m2 seems to fit it so I guess I will use the holster for that gun. The Mp9C is my EDC so I am disappointed it won’t fit correctly for the gun I carry. The holster it top quality, well made and a great looking holster with thick leather and heavy stitching.

Tom, We are deeply sorry you are experiencing that with your holster. Sometimes good leather being an organic material, needs more break in time, spending on the hide. Jut like a good shoe needs to be broken in, the holsters works in the same way, the gun will mold to the leather and it will work great. Remember we have a lifetime warranty and we will always seek your complete satisfaction. Thank you for your support.

Ordered (Brown on Black) this for my Ruger SR9c about a little over a week ago, and the mail carrier delivered it Thursday; the packaging was basic and adequate. As soon as I had unboxed it I knew that I had purchased a quality holster for my daily carry, the material, feel and finish are outstanding. I’ve been wearing consistently since and the firearm slipped into it’s berthing like it had already been there. The holster snugs up to the hip lending it’s self nicely to a concealed carry, it does ride just a tad bit higher than I am use to (old woven holster), but still readily accessible for the duty assigned. I quickly discovered that I need to pay closer attention when jumping into the truck to avoid scuffing of the finish. Well done 1791 Gun Leather people…well done!!

Finally, a good Quality holster for the M&P 380EZ! I am glad it is a 1791 holster, as I have others of theirs and find them to be top notch. This was no exception. Definitely my new Holster source. Moderately priced for excellent work!

This also fits the EAA Tanfoglio Witness Polymer Compact (p-carry) 10mm. I got it in stealth black, it does take a day or so for the fit to mold, but the retention is phenomenal. It rides at the perfect height and cant and I can see me using this holster for a very long time. I have also purchased other 1791 holsters for a Coonan and a Beretta. Quality can’t be beat.

The first thing I noticed was the smell of quality leather. It is an amazing holster. This could easily be more expensive, which shows me the company cares about the people they are servicing. It fits snug and comfortable with a great look. The key chain was a nice surprise and I’m using it daily. I couldn’t be happier with the holster and the company. Great work!
