This thing is super solid and very well made. Works exactly as it should. Just a warning - the first time I extended it, the pieces were very stuck together. I couldn't collapse it by hitting it against the floor -- actually had to whack the tip in with a hammer. That did the trick - and it has worked great ever since. Just FYI the first couple extensions might be hard to collapse. Once broken in however, this thing is awesome and collapses fairly easily.

When deployed, it is one solid piece of metal.
There is no give or flex.
You get what you pay for and this is worth it.
One flick of the wrist and it is instantly deployed, you do have to tap it hard on the ground to get it back in,; but the goal for this item is a quick dependable deployment for immediate protection.

Heavier than expected but sturdy. needs a good, solid (concrete) surface in order to retract it.. will do some real damage.. not for the untrained..this is not a toy
