Typically well made 5.11 product. The two MOLLE straps are easy to use, they are located opposite the plastic buckle and have a 2 across, 6 down footprint. The top flap fully covers the bottle inside and 5.11's adding hook and loop pads inside the flap was a very nice surprise and aids in keeping the flap securely in place. The buckle and adjustable strap are high quality and was a selling point for this small carrier (IMO small zippers used on similar products are prone to failure). The interior diameter will snugly hold a quart sized Gatorade bottle (with room above).
My only recommendation would be to add to the water carrier's description, various water bottles that are sized to fit inside this carrier (I used a tape measure before purchasing).

This is my first item with 5.11's SlickStick/MOLLE attachment system and... I'm really happy with it. I've already hiked about 16 miles with it safely holding my 1 liter water bottle on my MOAB 6!!
5.11 is the best :) I have 5 of their bags, 7 pants, and 13 shirts!!
