Ladies and gentlemen, if your not a 5.11 fan than you be hooked on the quality of their products after wearing this belt. The belt is measured on the middle hole and their plenty of room your gun or thanks giving dinner. I would still recommend going two inches over your regular belt size for your gun so you feel comfortable will carrying your weapon. The belt is stiff enough for my glock 30s, which is a thick double stack of TEN, 45acp rounds. The belt is nice enough to wear with your Khakis (For Jake from state farm), or pants/shorts. I've had the belt for 5 months and it is still going strong. The back had an elastic loop for a hand cuff key, which is awesome if your james bond but It's just another awesome extra that 5.11 added. This belt with a IWB holster is a must have.

I've been shopping around and bought many different belts that just don't hold up. Most belts that I've gotten that say "heavy duty" or "thick leather" still wind up warping and peeling within about a month. As soon as I opened the package and felt the 5.11 belt, I knew things were different with this one. The belt is thick, but not so thick as to limit movement, and sturdy feeling and the buckle is solid, not wobbly or flimsy like some other brands. I haven't worn a gun on it yet, but I would bet that this belt would still hold up well.

The belt is perfect. I actually bought two of them. This one is for OWB carry, which works very well for both of my 1911s. The other one I bought for IWB which needed to be a the next size up. I'm not the as skinny as I'd like to be. I read review before I ordered the belt that it was too stiff. One of my 1911s is a SA TRP in a Wilson Lo-Profile II holster so it needs the added stiffness to carry the weight of the gun. I'll probably buy another one if needed the price is perfect. Shipping was fast as always.

As a medium sized person, I ordered a medium sized belt only to discover I am a large person. 34" waist, and I couldn't get comfortably in the first hole. Sent it back and got the large. The dropdown menu only gave small, medium, large, and extra large without wasit size beside the list. I wish the site did as they do with the pants and list the dimensions in the dropdown. I later found the translation to the sizes, and medium is a 32-34 and large is 36-38". Order the larger size.

The belt was way to large, but I guess I should have expected problems, who sizes their belts like that? Also very stiff and cheap looking.

Very thick, extremely strong belt ! I suggest you place your holster where you want it first as it does NOT have a lot of flex !
