Designed with the same precision-engineered comfort, durability and protection as the ultra-popular Taclite Pro Pants, the 5.11 Taclite Pro Shorts combine superior breathability with optimal maneuverability for a range of motion that makes every challenging mission easier. Double- and triple-stitched for lastability and bar-tacked at high-stress areas, these poly/cotton ripstop shorts are tough. They feature a signature rear strap and slash pocket design that allows for rapid access to mission essentials. The seat is double-reinforced to prevent tears and abrasion, while the fabric is Teflon treated for soil, stain and liquid resistance. The action waist is perfect for activities that require high mobility and the gusseted crotch adds comfort in any situation. Do not let your outfit limit your potential. Trust these shorts to keep you functional.

I work for a Utility Water Company. The shorts are flexible they dry quickly and the fit is perfect. The color and shape holds up wash after wash. By the end of my workday I may be covered in the mud but my shorts still hold their shape, and are not heavy on my body. The mud on my shorts wipes off easily. The pockets secure my tools, gaskets etc. that I might need at the meter pit. Or flushing the fire hydrants.

I really like these for hiking, quadding, going to the range, etc during summer. They're nice and light, the pockets are roomy and the stretch waistband is great for IWB carry. Love the knife pocket in the front too.

Fit wise I think there's a little too much room in butt / thighs areas, but the fabric isn't stretchy so when you're pockets are fully loaded it makes sense.

These shorts fit pretty much true to size. They are a little stiff. They wear well and have plenty of space to put your gear. No complaints except that they are pricey.

Nice shorts, appear to be well made and feel that they would last for some time. Not designed for women who have a large 'dierriere' though - too tight in the crotch area and they rode too low at the waist line area.
