The Tactical Research Khyber Lightweight Tactical boot is engineered to deliver superior arch support, comfort, and all-terrain grip. With a durable, full-grain leather upper, this boot is suited for military service, but can handle the rigors of any field of work. The Vibram Ibex outsole is engineered to traverse rocky, uneven mountainous terrain with ease, thanks to a unique, multi-directional lug pattern that maintains traction in any conditions. Every Tactical Research boot is built with the TR-1 orthotic insole, which is rigid enough to reduce arch fatigue, but comfortable enough for long periods of wear. A critical component of any tactical boot is the heel cup, which is built in atop the midsole to stop ankle injuries and maintain a secure, stable fit. The hydrophilic lining wicks away excess moisture and pumps heat out of the boot, while the padded tongue adds comfort.

As a Police Training Officer I spend a lot of time on my feet, conducting firearms training and qualification with Patrol Officers and tactical training and operations with the SWAT Team. I was looking for a comfortable, durable boot for all conditions and the fit the bill. They give you the support needed for aggressive maneuvering and enduring long periods on your feet. As far as sizing, my boots fit as advertise. I would recommend these boots to anyone that is on their feet a lot.

I had been wearing UA Valsetz boots for a couple of years, which are very comfortable, but have a durability issue. These Khyber boots are a touch heavier, but still lightweight and definitely appear more durable. The have plenty of traction in wet weather. The laces do not slide well through the eyelets, which lessens the ease of putting them on, but also keeps them from loosening during wear. The biggest complaint I have is that the top edge of the upper is very inflexible and digs in to the lower calf. They are still only a couple weeks old, so I am hoping that will fix itself with wear.

The boots fit very well and look great. I have had a number of co-workers ask about the boots and one person wanted the web site link. I also like that they are very light weight. I hope they look as good in 6 to 12 months as they do today.

I purchased my first pair 2 years ago. I am rough on boots and most barely last a year. This first pair lasted over 2 years and finally started falling apart. I had to replace the laces with a higher quality lace at 6 months but other than that I found them a good boot for the price so I happily bought a second pair. Will put the replacement laces on this them and see if they will outlast this pair as well as the maker stated they would. Time will tell. I do know when this pair is done I will have no issues getting this boot again.

The best pair of boots I've owned I've bought brands from Nike,511, under armour, but the khyber easily win in quality and comfort, they hurt my ankles a lil bit when They were fresh out but now they're broken in and they feel great

My 4th pair of this boot. Love them. Very durable. Only complaint of this boot is the side zipper, it's curved and will break which is why I no longer buy the zipper style of these. But the boots themselves are great!

I bought one pair the first week. After a week and a half. I bought another pair to swap out. These boots are comfortable and that look good. I recommend to any one that is in Law Enforcement or Correctional.

The boots came in and met my expectations . The leather could be made better instead of a stiff plastic feel. The leather is most noticable with wrinkles near the hole outlets.

They are missing one thing, drain holes. The ankle support is good, they handle rocky terrain well, and they feel good. The lace locks work well also.
